I follow porn releases even if I don't watch most of the movies, and the latest release of TIM is deeply disturbing. If someone posted this type of thing here, as a mod, I'd block the post and move it to the Backroom. I remember feeling the same vibe from posts from guys that we ended up banning because they were crazy.

Why am I a fanatic about male porn? Unlike other genres—horror, science fiction and so on—in porn we know that we are watching ourselves. This isn’t the case for straight porn, only for gay porn. Since the beginning, we have studied and made male porn in order to see and learn who and what we are, we men who live to fuck men.

The craft of making male porn is a crucial one, then. Unfortunately, most pornographers think that a couple of men, some lighting and a pretty background will get it done. Or some believe that using sad-assed story lines involving cowboys or college football teams or any hackneyed story will get them through and make for good porn. For true male porn, everything—the story, the truth, the meaning—is in the men and nothing but the men. It’s all there.

At every crisis that threatened to overwhelm and demoralize the identity and practices of men who fuck men, it has been porn that has hunkered down and argued most eloquently that we are not only profoundly different—different, say, from men who marry women—but our difference renders us crucial to the species, crucial to the world.

When I release a video, it’s because the scenes in it are engagements that illustrate, prove and proclaim who we are and what we are. This is done in a thousand ways, some of which have been controversial—whether they involve unbridled passion, radical submission, viral seroconversion, ecstatic bloodplay, the fact that some of our kind are slaves, sluts, dogs, monsters, victims and on and on. We embody and embrace that which ignorant and superstitious repressive social and religious groups consider sinful, evil, depraved, satanic—and on and on.

In this sense, we stand against a world that increasingly wishes—no, intends!—not only to deny us the right to be who and what we are, but to slaughter us and those like us, our brothers and sons and lovers of the present and future.

We have faced existential challenges throughout our history. And every time the world underestimates us, thinks we are weak, hopes we will die, disappear, learn to behave or believe as they, in their backwardness, believe and behave.

Look: nature itself, in the form of a horror-virus, raged against us. Had this happened to the practitioners of the “great” religions that now rail against us, I promise you, they would have lost their faith and their humanity. But we, the strongest of the strong, we have become one with that very virus, we have triumphed through our very “depravity”, what they call our “sins”, our demonic evil and perversion.

I say to those who are against us WE ARE COMING FOR YOU. To those who threaten and fear us, WE ARE COMING FOR YOU with our evil, our disease, our darkness and rampant sensual pleasure. We bring our demons, we use our sex-magick, we invoke djinn and gods and the primordial entities that love us as their own.

We have fucked your sons, your brothers, we are being born as your children and grandchildren. Call on any god you wish for protection, invoke any and all of your superstitions. They won’t help you. Our gods are in our bodies, they fill us with lust and camaraderie, they make of us the monsters who terrify you in your prayers and dreams.

And to those among us who strive to control our raging sex, who teach that what we are can be controlled and contained in rule-bound and policed “festivals” or “street parties,” WE ARE COMING FOR YOU. For those who preach to us that marriage and monogamy is the only and true way, WE ARE COMING FOR YOU, brother.

True male porn is revolutionary. In it you can recognize yourself and learn who you are. In every frame of the porn that we make, WE ARE COMING FOR YOU, those who are our brothers and our kind, to welcome you with open arms.

-- Paul Morris

And they have announced a couple of movies that never were released (including a preview where a guy is snorting powder from another guy's cock). I can see that their business model is to be controversial and create shock, but I think that they are jumping the shark and dropping the ball in some things. I wonder what's going on in there.

Wow.  Pretty astounding stuff.  Not sure what he is saying exactly, like you wonder what is going on there.  But I was in Ft Laud, Florida aka gay mecca this weekend. Every place was packed.  Baths sold out, huge sex club full of prob 100's of men doing everything imaginable and more.  I'm just saying, maybe it is the end of time ... or the best of times.  Who knows.

Interesting messages, guys.  I thought at first it was TIM's usual "create controversy" marketing (I mean, the name WE'RE COMING FOR YOU is a pun and Paul Morris does love the idea of manifestos, even calling one of his movies Manfuck Manifesto), but like you I'm starting to wonder if something else is up there.  TIM has had that particular screed up with a pre-release scene for a month and a half, which for them is a really long delay between the pre-release scene and the actual DVD.  The cover they show looks more like one of Paul Morris' "naked man posing" art photos slapped up there than it does one of their DVD's usual covers.  Meanwhile, Liam Cole is making rather cryptic statements on his Twitter account that he's not making porn these days (it's unclear if he means something like "not for a few months" or "never again"), and doesn't quite ever really address whether he's left or leaving TIM or not (just saying that the last film he made-- "London Cum Junkies"-- is not being released by TIM but apparently they're cobbling together something else?).  Does anyone know if there's some other problem going on at TIM right now?

Max Sohl has a post up on TIM's forums that says TIM has several films coming up (including one by Liam Cole, presumably the one that's taking the place of "London Cum Junkies"), but even that message has been up now for a little awhile.  Part of this could merely be that TIM got into a pattern of releasing DVDs on a pretty regular schedule and now they're victims of what inevitably happens when you want or need to slow down.  Again, Morris's latest manifesto would just seem like their usual deliberately controversial marketing to me if TIM had quickly followed it up in a week or two with the actual DVD, but making such a bombastic statement and then majorly delaying the actual DVD its supposed to accompany seems weird, like somebody standing up on a table and yelling "to arms, everyone!" when there's no one else around.

I will hold off on judging until I actually see it.  But if it is like the last one and includes blood/cutting play, trans scene, aned a straight chick I will be disappointed.  I am open minded but those kind of scenes turn me off especially the one with the woman.

The prose is a bit purple. But so is the head of my hard dick after reading it.

I've written a couple of times to Paul Morris begging him to take his porn to another level with poz talk. I don't know if this video has any, but I'm glad to see the description at TIM's website explicitly mentions a poz guy and a conversion scene.

Am I alone or are their videos getting less and less interesting, like they are running out of ideas?

Well, we all drop the ball every now and then. They have done it before, with "the year of living positively". They did not release even a single movie with that subject. And now London Cum Junkies. I guess it happens a lot when you are too controversial, some things can get you in trouble sometimes. In any case, I think that they are a bit too desperate for controversy these days, and their porn suffers because of that.

TIM has been going downhill for a while IMO.. they've been re-releasing a bunch of old porn - which for someone who owns just about their entire catalogue, really does nothing for me. A couple of scenes in this release were also shot many years ago, but haven't been released until now (it’s obvious by the dated camerawork). They used to pump stuff out quite regularly, but lately it’s been every 2 or 3 months.

Liam Cole is no longer making porn for them (which he told me directly, and is contrary to Max Sohl replying to one of my comments ON THE VERY SAME DAY that Liam had a new movie coming "soon"). Their biggest problem is that they think their customers are idiots. Good luck if you post a critical comment on their website or one of their social pages, because it's deleted just as quickly. It's 2016 guys - we have the internet, we can Google shit if necessary, so stop pretending everything's going great when it clearly isn't.

I can identify with SOME of what Paul wrote, but the majority of it is plain scary. I loved Liam's movies because they were shot in real apartments/alleys/clubs/wherever, and were a reflection of what real guys are actually doing in their lives. I learnt about myself watching TIM porn, and realised that I liked to bareback and that there was space within the world for me to enjoy it. Talking about "sex magick" and our "demonic evil" however - Paul either thinks he's the second coming of Aleister Crowley, or he's only in touch with a very niche group of gay men (which either way will hurt his business).

I’ve begged Liam to keep making porn, because it really was the best on the market (and the best for TIM’s sales). Paul needs to get his head out of his ass, or he’ll wind up like Damien Silver in a few years, making very niche porn that almost no one buys.

What a bizarre marketing strategy. You know, when I want to watch a porn movie for my homophobic verbal degradation fetish, the best studio for that would be TIM. Nobody say "faggot" more than them... So I don't get how they expect people to buy this bullshit dichotomy they are proposing, that somehow TIM is for proud gay men while everything else is made by gayforpayers. If I wanted to see weird pseudo-pro-gay porn of a studio that writes manifestos claiming to be "out and proud", I would check Cockyboys.

TIM has always been the studio that makes gay sex equal to dirty, unsafe and humiliating sex. That's what their Studio do better, and it's great. What they are claiming in the manifesto it's absolutely the contrary of their scenes. I mean, look at the description of scene 2 from this exact movie they are promoting:
"This was shot when MARK DAVIS first walked into TIM. There’s no hunger for dick as powerful as that felt by a married guy who’s tried staying straight for his wife. MARK’s history is especially rich -- his wife cuckolded him with a mega-hung lover. Then, for her own amusement, she had the lover butt-fuck MARK. That’s how MARK got pozzed and learned that his soul belonged to the realms of mansex. See this proto-faggot submissive cuckold male transformed before your eyes into a wallowing, wailing, wanton slut"
So, a guy was straight, but then he got cuckolded and his wife made her lover fuck him. He got HIV, as a result of getting seroconverted (or maybe just as a result of getting fucked, it's ambiguous) he became gay, and now find it difficult to resist being a "slut".

This is not a studio for people who like porn that transmits a message of reassurance against homophobia. Much by the contrary. This scene message is: same-sex attraction is closely tied to being humiliated, gay (only bottoms or gays in general) are a failed sub-achievement of normal heterosexual real masculinity, getting subdoed will make you gay.

BTW, I just want to make it clear that I don't believe it is wrong to like this type of porn or have fantasies of this type (I do, in fact). But I believe it's important to understand the difference between fantasies and reality. There's nothing wrong with liking porn with homophobic content, but we need to know that on an intelectual level. TIM does not have a pro-gay message.

TBH that kind of statement is nothing new from Paul Morris. I remember reading an essay he wrote back in the mid 2000s.  He was talking about the American male attitude - the rugged individualism and defiance etc which he seemed to equate with masculinity and saw TIM as part of that.  He equated the dangerous/reckless nature of skateboarding videos of that time with the risk of gay bareback sex.  I didn't 100% buy it, but it was a fascinating read.  I tried to find it to post a link, but the site it was on seems to no longer exist.

I also read a queer theory book called No Future - Queer Theory and the Death Drive by Lee Edelman which I think Paul Morris bases/shares his ideas. Again, from a similar period, the mid 2000s.  Basically the idea that homosexuality is inherently transgressive and "dangerous" to the meaning-making hetero majority. But in many ways I feel we have moved on from this in the west and this latest piece by Paul seems to me just an extension of stuff he has already written, pushing the shocks a little further and at the same time raising his often quite boring (nowadays anyway) porn into mythical status.  Where else can he go from here really, if not to pozzing porn,. blood etc. Stuff which would shock the majority but is just this side of legality.  Although I was quite surprised when Liam was able to release Slammed and the British censors apparently passed it.

For me his best work was when he found HOT cumdumps and filmed them taking lots of cum back in the mid 2000s. The scenes were always lit well (i.e you could see it all - unlike Liam's videos where it's hard to actually see many of the people in the room because they weren't lit by Liam's on-camera light), the cum kept flowing and the men were generally hot to look at.  Nowadays with PREP and PEP and meds, and a generally more sexually liberal culture, a lot of the allure/shock value of what TIM were doing back then is gone.

For me tho, the genuinely HOT and extreme nature of taking annon loads up your ass from multiple strangers never loses its appeal.  That's really all they have to do. Find new Dawsons and Christians and film them doing what they love to do! It was a simple formula that their new stuff struggles to recapture quite often, but there are certain scenes which manage to get it very right!!! :)

To praise this latest writing from Paul, I do think it is still good to see someone - a porn maker - make a stand for gay porn and gay sex and the delights and thrills it offers - remember in America and around the world, there are many people taking away our rights or slaughtering us.  ISIS as an example is a genuinely scary prospect for us here in Europe.  Who knows how long our liberal 21st century Weimar can last!! :(

Where I may take issue with Paul is that (whatever ones fantasies may be) I don't necessarily see pozzing porn or blood play as the best form of defiance to fascism. lol

I went on their website and read all the descriptions for the scenes in their two latest films and it seems they are getting realllll dirty. Nothing wrong with that. Someone has to cater to what others are into. All the scenes may not be my cup of tea, but at least someone is out there making them for others.
