Cruising the Gym Locker room

I live in a small New England town environment, it is not exactly a gay hot spot, to put it mildly. So far, I have 2 options Oline apps, and traveling roughly 2 hours to go to Boston, or 3 sauna's that I go to.

My other option is the gym, yet how can I get The attention of other gay men that might be there, without drawing attention from other gym members?

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'm interested to read replies.  When I was going to the gym regularly years ago I wasn't really interested in guys (or so I thought, even though I would get hard looking at cock).

I could sure stand to join again and this might give me some incentive.

I find it annoying when guys try to cruise me at the gym or in the locker room, Im not a huge fan of public sex that could possibly lead to legal implications. Also when I go to the gym Im not in the "I wanna get fucked" mindset, I just want to get a good workout in and go.

Might be wearing something small , tight , maybe ripped at the right places or wearing a jock strap , showers or steam bath - towel and keep opening it a few times - shaking your meat !   :)

Gyms are pretty hard to cruise. Most showers are open areas and don't have much privacy, Same with the locker rooms. If you are set on trying, Walk around nude or half dressed a lot. If you shower then take your sweet time toweling off.

I don't if you wear a jockstrap when working out. But in that case wear one of a brand that is obvious to gay guys, like Addicted or Grunt and show that off.

But I can relate to orionboy1's reply that maybe guys are just there for the gym and not for cruising. Nevertheless it can't hurt to let other gay guys know you're "family".

I wasn’t planning for anything the first time I got fucked by a guy I met at the gym. He came up to me in the locker room and said he liked my jockstrap and said he loved the outline under my shorts when he saw me doing dead lifts. (It was laundry day and I wasn’t thinking about the jock). He asked if I wanted a private workout sometime and now he’s a regular fb.

Thanks for this great reply, this was really what I had in mind, giving a subtle hint, not really making an overt pass at anyone. are there any colognes, only gay men are familiar with?

This would be acceptable, strike up a conversation, ask for my number etc etc. Thats fine by me. Whats not is: following me into the shower, using the head right next to me even though a bunch others are open and staring at me while you nonchalantly stroke your dick. Had a fella do this a few weeks ago, it was creepy.

I wear jockstraps, usually timoteo, pump or c2xst so its pretty obvious Im gay, but that doesnt mean its okay for you to creep on me.

Perhaps a gym bag or something with a bath house or AVS name or logo on it, stratiegically placed on a bench in the locker room?

A rainbow bath towel? Lol

I hate when guys remove or put on their underwear with a towel wrapped around them. It never used to be that way, guys would freely undress and walk around nude in the locker room. Today there is much too much cover up - a very disturbing trend.

Unfortunately, we're probably responsible for that.  As acceptance has increased and we've felt more comfortable checking others out, some of us are probably more obvious about our leering than we used to be.

Anyways, the overwhelming majority of guys are not at the gym to hook up with you.  Don't care how hot you are.  And even if you do find someone to play with, the overwhelming majority of people absolutely do not want to see you getting busy.  Please respect others.  Life does not imitate porn.

But if you really want to hook up, then rediscover cruising.  The first step, as others have said, is to advertise your availability.  Which doesn't mean grabbing your hardon while staring at the guy on the ab machine; don't do that--it's gross.  Subtlety is the key here.  Your signals should be picked up only by guys who may be interested.  An article of clothing is fine.  I often will wear old bar t-shirts for instance.

Next step is eye contact.  If that seems to be going along alright, perhaps a smile.  And if that is returned, strike up a conversation.

But please go elsewhere if you meet with success.
