Typos in hot sex stories (or other similar places)

Does anybody else hate this as much as I do. Im sitting there reading some incredibly hot sex story (like on this forum), often true stories, and then some typo comes up right at the absolute worst possible time.

Example: I was reading something here late last year and it finished with the sentence "It was one of the best ducks I ever had"

What? Was that... best dicks... or best fucks? Which one? Either way, ducks are the least sexy thing on planet earth. They swim in ponds waiting for old people and kids to throw stale bread for them to eat. I was annoyed that a lot of people still gave it thumbs up/likes whatever.

Are you banking on the fact that we're "supposed to know" what you meant? That sucks and it's lazy and sloppy. Sometimes it can make a sentence completely incomprehensible. Are we supposed to be mind-readers?

I wish people would seriously just take 2 seconds to read back before they hit post. Then you wouldn't fuck things up and make me feel like I'm going on a unabomber-style rant about what technology does to people's minds...

no its not annoying as you should be able to work out what they mean easy in context with the sentences before.

what was before that line was it about oral or anal.

What if the person that wrote it uses English as a second language so wont spot the errors

so i assume you dont use social media as you would be forever correcting grammar

I think it's more about autocorrect than English being someone's second language. I neglected to mention autocorrect somehow in my original post despite that being the big problem. It also results in bizarre titles for videos on Pornhub, etc.... like, they were uploaded by a mental incompetent or something.

Don't try to make me sound prissy this isn't about "grammar"... lol. The people who don't care about their communication are the problem not me. :)

I am a bit of a grammar nerd. I am ok with a few mistakes - people aren't perfect. However, frequent misspellings turn me off.

I AM prissy and I am proud of it.

I have to say, I hate punctuation errors/omissions more than spelling. Most of the comments I post are from my phone, so autocorrect often fucks things up. Have not found a way to turn it off yet.

I type deliberately and slowly enough to get my stuff right most of the time, but if I add in the auto "correct", my precision goes way down. Thanks technology...

People are just allowing autocorrect to make them look like goons. And then if you dare to complain about it, people say you're Alex Jones.....

This rant was caused by a nonsensical video title on pornhub.

Also recently I was briefly um, y'know stalking/checking on this ludicrously hot British guy on his facebook (Ive never met him) cause he disappeared off of BBRT. He left some cursory half-assed sarcastic message to his followers/friends where he put "Do" where he actually clearly meant to say "So" at the beginning of a sentence........ just terrible

Typos don't bother me all that much, if at all, when i am reading what someone else has written. But autocorrect makes me absolutely crazy sometimes... to the point that i am cursing at my phone or computer when it keeps happening. i typically catch it while it's happening, and that's the part that bothers me, having to correct autocorrect.

Maybe before criticizing you should have taken the same 2 seconds to check before posting your profile.

In Background.......4th line.....Im instead of I'm or I am.

In Looking For....... 2nd line.....im instead of I'm or I am.

Being picky, yes I am but anyone can make mistakes, I'm sure you can find some in some of my postings.

Also be aware that certain words have different meanings in The Queens English and American english, this I know being a British expat.

By the way, how many stories have you written?

LOL. I thought I was the only one who got annoyed by typos. They throw off the rhythm of the sentence and pull you out of the world the story has built. That said, I can honestly say that there has been at least one typo in every story I have ever written -- and not for lack of proofreading. Rather, it's the opposite.  As you re-read a story, you begin to anticipate the words you intended to write instead of seeing the word that were actually written. That's one reason professional writers have editors and proofreaders, and amateur writers join writing circles for feedback on their work.   ... Would a writing circle for porn authors be considered a "circle jerk"?

I've been caught out by auto-incorrect more often than I care to admit, but I usually read my post right away and either edit it or post a correction if I mess something up. I try to use good grammar but I'm not a Nazi about other people's grammar or spelling mistakes as long as I can figure out what makes most sense.

I do my best to fix typos and misspellings on here when I see them on here because they pull me out of the story so bad.

What really drives me crazy is the number of typos etc that show up in professionally produced content these days.  Especially ye olde "mainstream media".   There is so much pressure to get out so much news/content so fast that nothing is proofread properly anymore.

I also just discovered a terrible typo in something I posted the other day, but the Breeding Zone Gods won't allow us to edit our old posts.
