You are still a "New Member".  The functions you can't find are privileges you gain when you reach "Junior Member". You do that by posting topics and comments. I'm putting this post into the topic with more details, so see above.

Always blows my mind that people post without reading - especially when they post into a thread that repeatedly explains what the "problem" they are experiencing is. :-)

Not sure that justified a downvote - especially from a moderator. It was a simple opinion - didn't call anyone out, name anyone etc.

Also, we were having problems with spammers making accounts to send private spam messages. Currently new members are very restricted in this area for this reason.

When do you lose your "New Member" status? Does it depend on the number of posts you've made or on a specific time period?

I understand what the restrictions for new members are for, but I would still like to be able to respond to posts as soon as possible and use all the other features.

Moderator's Note: I moved your post to the thread that discusses the situation. 
The admin, rawTOP, will not answer that question with specifics because that would enable people to find ways to "game" the system. Keep posting. Keep commenting. When you have participated enough, your permissions will increase.
