It’s hard to determine by the self-reporting in the unscientific polls we usually run around here, plus you have to settle on a definition first. By ‘vers’ do you mean anyone who ever performs the opposite role, even if only on the rarest of occasions? Or do you mean truly flexible flip-fuckers who do both easily at will?

There are lots of guys on here who will claim to be total bottoms, but will also talk about the circumstances under which they’ll fuck another bottom - meaning they’re not actually total bottoms.

Polls here generally show about 24% self-reporting as ‘vers’, and 66% identifying as ‘bottom’, but it’s clear that a very substantial segment of those bottoms are not total bottoms and could be thrown into the ‘vers’ column if your definition is loose enough. My guess is that the number of bona fide total bottoms is likely equivalent to the number of bona fide total Tops, at around 10% each. That would suggest that, to some degree, 80% of gay guys will flip depending on the circumstance. But again, that depends entirely on how you frame the question.

There was a time when i'd do that... fuck a bottom in need before leaving for the night, but i seem to have lost the ability to do that. It's not physical. Let's face it, most men have to deal at some point with "not getting a hardon" because the conditions for being able to get a hardon are many. I always thought the separation of guys as tops or bottoms was unnecessarily restrictive and limiting in the longterm. I get that some people have tendencies to favor one or the other because they like or don't like topping or bottoming, but I was always just a fan of doing whatever comes naturally. Yes, bottoming for long sessions does require a lot of work on the front end of things (something a lot of "total tops" really don't take into account) but I just don't think there's any reason to categorize ourselves like this. Vers is great, but I really just prefer sex with no expectations of anything.
