I'm wondering how many older guys have experienced what happened to me yesterday.

I've known this early 50's guy for about 4 years. He had shown me a pic of his beautiful big erection a while ago. I knew I needed to ride it.

When I learned a few months ago that he's poz I became even more committed to him fucking me. Poz guys together have the best sex!

We finally hooked up yesterday. He's a beautiful bear with Italian heritage. I love olive toned skin and he has dark hair in all the right places. I was so turned on.

His big raw cock was soon in me and I was in heaven. We fucked in many positions for about an hour. It was a great time even though he wasn't able to breed me.

But here is what I am grieving. When he really got into it and pounded me deepest and hardest the pain was well beyond pleasure. I know like many older men my prostate is enlarged. A biopsy two months ago assured me I don't have cancer. But I suspect my days of going after the big cocks pounding my ass are numbered. Or maybe the healing from the biopsy just isn't complete.

I wonder how much some of my grimaces and requests to ease off  kept him from reaching climax. He was apoplectic saying he takes a long time to cum. I assured him he didn't need to apologize. I honestly accept that what happens in a good sexual romp is enough.

Don't get me wrong. I had a great time and am quite sure we will play again. He seemed to genuinely enjoy himself as well and expressed so a few times. I just grieve that I may not be the bottom that I've been who takes everything the top needs to unleash. Everything I take great pleasure in unleashing from a big dicked top!

I'd be interested to hear similar reflections from other older guys.

I have some minor enlarged prostate issues.  My experience was that sometimes it would be difficult to start to pee or have a bit of pain while peeing.  It seemed to be more pronounced after getting fucked.  Since it wasn't severe, my doctor prescribed Cialis (5mg) which has a side-effect of reducing prostate swelling.  It works for me!

Funny thing, I wasn't needing Cialis for any ED issues but after taking Cialis, my hardon was noticeably better.  I remember saying to myself, "Hello old friend!"  😁

I'm trying to figure out how often to take it.  I was taking it daily which is not a problem at that low dose.  But after time, I noticed my erections wouldn't get quite as hard as that first few weeks (still hard enough to get the job done, though!  LOL).  There *might* be an issue of developing a resistance or it just loses potency (or just the normal progression of ED).  I don't want to start increasing my dosage so I'm taking it every other day now with my doctor's knowledge and support.

YMMV.  Good luck!

Couple of thoughts that may (or may not) be encouraging.

One of the long time medical interventions for enlarged prostate (prior to meds like tamsulosin) is "prostate massage."  i promise this is not just a gay fantasy cum true, it's a real thing. Though there is debate about it's medical efficacy amongst professionals:

"The longstanding theory behind a prostate massage is that it helps express stagnant fluid and relieve symptoms of erectile dysfunction, painful ejaculation, prostatitis and pain in your pelvic region. But there needs to be more research into these areas, as there isn’t yet enough evidence to support these claims beyond small, anecdotal cases."

Then there's this:

"Anal sex can cause prostatitis if not done properly. Anal sex is truly an art, with many intricacies that can complicate the act. The prostate gland is walnut-shaped and fills with fluid to help your sperm during ejaculation. The more stimulation, the more fluid (or prostatic juice) that’s created. But there is a fine balance. Direct, constant penetration–angled to the front of the anal canal, about 4-7cm internally–can lead to diffuse swelling and significant inflammation. It’s literally a pain in the ass, or more so the pelvis. You need a full understanding of your anatomy and its functions in order to make sure you treat your very sensitive (and temperamental) prostate in such a way that it gives you pleasure and not pain."

I'd like to add here that if you take a good hard pounding from a largish dick (or dildo) before having your blood drawn for a PSA test, your readings will likely be elevated. Mine were. So now I just avoid getting railed a few days before my checkups.

You mentioned that you had a biopsy. Did they find any sign of prostatitis? That would show up in the tissues as well. If they did, you should ask your doctor if it needs to be treated. Chronic prostatitis sometimes does nothing but other times can cause pain and discomfort. Everyone's symptoms may vary. It may not have been enough time to completely heal from the biopsy. I purposely waited at least 6 months before having anal sex after mine to make sure that it had healed properly. Since they puncture the colon wall to get at the prostate, I figured I'd be safe rather than sorry.

I have been dealing, since 2021, with the situation described above and am having another outpatient procedure the second week of January.  I take tamsulosin in the evenings, I've been doing that since July of 2023.  The PSA test showed I was at 1.4 - so with the normal range being between 1 and 4 my doctor said I was fine, no fear (at least at this point) of having prostate cancer.  I am having labs drawn again later this week in prep for my procedure.  I use Quest for my labs, and the results go to my phone app usually in 48 hours.  I agree with @Close2MyBro that it's best to be healed properly before dealing with any possible aggravation in that area.

If you have a partner or FWB or knows you well, you can still bottom, but this certainly isn't the time to be looking for some XXL top to fuck your brains out.  My doctor has assured me that, if I take some time off and then go back slowly, I can eventually be 100 percent.  I am following his words and not biting off more than I can chew, so to speak.

I too suffer from BPH.  I take both daily Cialis and Alfuzosin and both help greatly, sometimes, to much.  If you have BPH, you know how painful it can be to try and pee, how long it takes, only to have to go pee again , sometimes within minutes.  The BPH medicine helps with the flow.  However, I find that when you have to go, I have to go almost immediately or run the risk of pissing myself.  I learned this the hard way while on a flight having to wait in line for the bathroom with like eight people in front of me.  I had to go so badly that I was trying to cross my legs, I was holding close my piss slit through  my jeans.  I get to the bathroom door, I started to piss myself, enough that it was visible on my jeans.  My Urologist calls this “latchkey incontinence”, trying to get to the bathroom as quickly as possible and can’t get the door open fast enough.  Lol.  If I am traveling long distances or at stadium events, I now wear a pull up diaper, just in case I can’t get to the bathroom fast enough.  That said, I would rather wear a pull up and pee, than taking 20 minutes to pee only to have to go again in a few more minutes.

My PSA has been all over the map. From the 2’s, all the way up to 7.1.  That figure triggered a MRI and no cancer was determined.  But again, it greatly fluctuates.  It is very true about ejaculating within 24 hours of the PSA that can affect the score.

I was originally prescribed tamsulosin, but I suffered the rare  side effect of “retrograde ejaculation”.  There would be no ejaculate when you came, it was sent back to the bladder.  It was fun the first couple of times not having to clean up anything, but the release was not as strong and I liked the feeling, optics and taste better when I could cum, so the Urologist put me on Alfuzosin.  All good now.

Actually, not so rare. Pretty common, actually.  Pt's aren't always warned about it though, so they panic. Depending on the level of BPH, other meds like Finasteride will also attribute to retrograde ejaculation.. All the alpha-1a- blockers can cause retrograde ejaculation.

I take testosterone so my doctor tests my prostate every few months.  Two years ago, my PSA creeped up to the low 3’s.  I could not walk home from the gym, a 45-minute trip, without having to stop and pee.  I am a self-trained herbalist and wondered if any botanicals shrank enlarged prostates.  I searched libraries and examined hundreds of books until I found a one sentence reference to a study titled “Dramatic remission of hormone refractory prostate cancer achieved with extract of the mushroom, Phellinus linteus,” written by a doctor of Urology at Gunma University in Japan. The mushroom is commonly known as Meshima or black Hoof Mushroom. The doctor found that the mushroom powder took care of the cancer better than any pharmaceutical medication. The mushroom is non-toxic and extremely low risk to consume.  I decided to order two pounds from mushroomharvest.com. these guys grow in clean conditions indoors, harvest, steam, dry, and then ground their own mushrooms into a powder that they sell directly.  I took a teaspoon and a half each day until I consumed the first one-pound bag. Then I took a heaping teaspoon of nettle root powder a day until I consumed the one-pound bag. I then took a teaspoon and a half from the second one-pound bag until it was all consumed.  At the end of this, my PSA level had dropped to 1.8.  the break in the middle is to break any adaptive reaction the body has for the mushroom, preventing further prostate shrinkage.  I started this in 2020. In the fall of 2023, my PSA had inched up to 2.3 and I started taking
Phellinus linteus powder again. I put the powder into a glass of water or a jar, and stir and shake it. I then drink the whole thing quickly.  This is a superstar medicine and I encourage men to give it a try before the prostate grows so large surgery is necessary.

While not disparaging any particular form of treatment, I will note that a single sentence in a single study in one foreign country is hardly evidence that a particular herbal remedy cures cancer.

It's quite possible that other enlarged prostate conditions, including prostatitis or benign prostatic hyperplasia, might well benefit from an herbal treatment - and that may well be the case you have. But cancer - particularly one that is highly variable in growth rate, like prostate cancer - is a serious enough health condition that relying on some herb one study tested is foolish. Rather than self-medicating, I would urge anyone with similar issues to have his doctor investigate the prostate to see whether it's cancer or not. If not, experiment to your heart's content with herbs. If it is cancerous, I'd certainly want an actual medical opinion for my options.

The post was a response to Tanbottom who has had a prostate biopsy and found that his enlarged prostate was non-cancerous.  The study in question was published in a peer-reviewed journal and the abstract can be viewed on PubMed.  I did not recommend the mushroom alone as a cancer treatment. It would be one element as part of a larger protocol.  Yet, if it could have such a major beneficial effect on shrinking a tumor on the prostate, I wondered if it could shrink the prostate itself.  I offered good news to Tanbottom and others like myself who are searching for non-surgical options for enlarged prostates that are not cancerous.  If someone is not facing a life threatening illness, it is not necessary to pay for a doctor’s consultation to use botanicals to learn if they are of benefit.  In my case, my enlarged prostate disappeared.
