hntnhole Posted February 7 Report Posted February 7 I'm wondering what the resident of 1600 has in mind, when he proposes displacing millions of Palestinians, seizing their ancestral (for millennia) homeland, and "creating a Riviera of the Middle East" on the seized land. It hasn't mentioned where all the displaced residents would go - perhaps it hasn't occurred. He hasn't mentioned any plans to resettle the Palestinians, other than 'somewhere else'. Interestingly, this announcement came shortly after meeting with Netanyahoo over the weekend, who visited for his regularly-scheduled 'tongue-up-hole' performance. Maybe that's how Nettie got so bald - wore it all off ass-tonguing US Presidents. Meanwhile, said resident is busy attempting to cannibalize (and likely try to terminate) the US governmental agency which is tasked with exactly that kind of assistance: USAID.
PozBearWI Posted February 7 Report Posted February 7 We've seen that over and over in the whole of his life. He is NOT a strategic thinker. 1
Moderators viking8x6 Posted February 7 Moderators Report Posted February 7 He stated they could be relocated to Jordan and Egypt. Never mind that neither the Palestinians, the Jordanians, nor the Egyptians think that's a good idea. Political differences aside, there were good reasons not to vote for this guy... 4
NWUSHorny Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 Maybe he really did mean a Buick Riviera, move all the Palestinians out then recreate a '77 rust bucket Riviera with 250K miles, 4 bald tires, trashed interior, multiple costs of different colors of pealing paint and no reverse. It would definitely match his class. 1

It's not just Trump RAMBLING & insulting. Hegseth in discussions, with our Defence Minister regarding AUKUS, described Australia 🇦🇺 as a SUBTERRANEAN SPACE. How insulting 😱😥🤣🤣🤣. 2

PozBearWI Posted February 8 Report Posted February 8 The implications are that he seems to think he is the ruler of earth. So it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks is their sovereign territory; in his warped mind it is his to do as he chooses. Was any of this in the cards in 2015? Yup. Right there in front of all of us who cared to look. We already knew how the man ran his largely UNsuccessful businesses. He had decades of reputation about making a contract specifying you to XYZ and I'll pay you ABC, only to welsh on those deals as his standard mode of doing business. If enough US Senators engage their brain they will begin to follow the oath ALL of them made to defend and protect the US constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. Right now they're not doing that. It us up to us to remove ALL who are not acting that we can in the next election. The choice is NOT democrat or republican any longer. It is change vs no change. 4

Going to war with Cuba and at least 10 Middle Eastern countries might make building his casino resort in Gaza difficult, not to mention pointless because it is in a war zone. 2

Yeah, maybe - but wouldn't the US still have to support the hordes of his victims? Gitmo is a US base .... the Cubans don't pay for anything there - we taxpayers do. It's a long-standing and long-lived lease, but the Cuban Government doesn't control anything within it's confines. But, you have a profitable idea: At night, he could make the soldiers open the gates and chase the prisoners out, to make room for tens of thousands more. 1 1

I can't resist filling Trump's junk yard with the worst examples of the Buick Riviera ever built. 1

I think it was just some noise he made when Nettie was here last week. Let Israel bomb the place to smithereens, and then pretend that the US will clean up everything in return for a gambling den on a gargantuan scale. 1

Well Trump has GIVEN EVERY indication of "invading" Greenland, Panama Canal Zone & then there's the Yukon Territories etc, when Canada becomes the 51st State 😳🙄. Then there's also 3 & 4 layer bunk bed prison quarters of Guantanamo Bay 😱. As for whose rimming who (Ohhh, the scat 🤢🤮😷 odour) I think it might be Biden & Trump wearing the scat face masks. I must say Trumps face mask is absorbing way too much colour🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 to look clean. 2

Maybe that's what Donny meant by Riviera.
BootmanLA Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 For those who forget their history: the middle East used to have just such a place, just north of Israel, in fact - Lebanon. Formerly a French mandate (the way Palestine - that is, Israel/Gaza - was a British mandate), Lebanon was independent not long after France fell in WWII, in a more-or-less bloodless transfer under the Free French (ie DeGaulle). From the early 1940's until 1975, Lebanon was above all else a resort country, with Beirut at its center. While it supported the Arab attacks on Israel in the 1948 war, they did not play a major role, and by and large there wasn't much fighting (especially in middle East terms) between them. Lebanon had Shia and Sunni Muslim, Maronite Christian, and Greek Orthodox leadership working together in about as multicultural a government as one could have imagined in the 1940's. But as the PLO was driven out of neighboring states (particularly Jordan) and into Lebanon, inevitably conflict arose with the established residents, and civil war erupted in 1975 (with active interference from Syria and Israel), beginning decades of hot and cold war, shellings, bombings, assassinations, and more. The Syrian army finally withdrew in 2005 - 30 years later - but that hardly brought peace, as by this point Hezbollah was becoming entrenched in significant parts of Lebanon (thus bringing Iran into the fighting, albeit by proxy). Israel is still actively fighting Hezbollah in southern Lebanon (ie on its own border). And today Lebanon is such a failed state that something north of 80% of its population is impoverished. As for tourism, that portion of its economy is a fraction of what it was pre-1975. Most of that tourism is from neighboring Jordan, from Saudi Arabia, or (for some reason) Japan, though in many years most tourists seem to be Lebanese visiting places they used to live, not foreigners bringing in new spending. How exactly Donold thinks he's going to do better in Gaza is beyond me. It's true that Gaza is surrounded by Israel and Egypt, so it would be harder for terrorists to sneak in and incite war. But certainly not impossible. 1 2
