It's a fun topic, and i  jokingly chose a random, high number.   After a day of cruising, it was not unusual for me to have  difficulty remembering how many guys that day, let alone how many over a lifetime. 

But honestly,  it's never been about the numbers for me.  It was about the craving for connection in that magical way with another guy. The bonding of mutual desire and a very intimate level.  i cannot think of any other experience where two people can touch each and have a soul exchange with an otherwise stranger, in a relatively short time.

That's true for me too.

I have really lost count. I have been having sex for 48 years. And lots of it. Certainly in my late teens and 20s I had sex almost every day. And not just with one guy. Multiple meets and/or multiple guys on the same day. My 30s on average 4 times a week. It slowed down a bit in my 40s and then suddenly I was a popular "Daddy bottom" in my 50s and still am.
