  1. New law signed by the governor changes the charge of intentionally exposing someone to hiv from a felony to a misdemeanor.Evidence cited in bill support said new drugs make living with hiv not the debilitating death sentence it once was.Curious if this will make more guys stealth.

Well said pozpig! The burden to disclose was LIGHTENED a bit not ELIMINATED.Personally I sometimes ask, sometimes don'y,sorta depends on what sexual activity we are anticipating.Oral sex no need to ask,if I am topping again no need.If I am bottoming I sometimes ask....and the last guy who seeded me said he was poz,but on meds. That was many months ago and tested neg last week. Still find sex with poz men an incredible turn on.The law will always seek to paint parties involved in simplistic terms a jury of idiots can understand. They want the easily understood offending party stamp on hiv poz men and the innocent victim patch pinned to the newly infected party.

It's really not just limited to HIV status and disclosure. I just think too many people want to pass blame to others and not take personal responsibility for their own actions. In that aspect it pisses me off that criminal charges can be brought against one person and the other gets off with a hug and "I'm so sorry this happened to you" bullshit rather than "WTF were you thinking? why didn't you do something to protect yourself, it's just as much your fault". I would imagine if we were in an era where personal responsibility were more common then we wouldn't have laws criminalizing just one side while letting the "victim" hold all the cards. One other aspect that I certainly don't agree with is consent revocation after the fact. I have come to understand that although one might consent at the time, a changed mind later can bring about charges. In that event I think documents, texts, emails, etc should be allowed as evidence of consent which I have understood are not.

Well said pozpig!Personal responsibility is kind of dead now, everyone seems to want an "out" if things go wrong, somebody to blame and collect damages from. The position an hiv poz man finds himself in is very much like the relationship between a lawfully licensed driver and the jaywalking pedestrian he just ran over. The duty to drive safely is placed on the driver.the jaywalking pedestrian is less legally responsible perhaps because the potential risk of injury is SO MUCH greater. So how does a man who enjoys chasing the bug as I DO offer some protection to possible tops?Consent cards printed in advance and signed by both parties engaged in the transmission of infected semen and duly notarized by a sworn notary public>Boy THAT would take the magic out of that sexual moment!lol...:)
