I lived in Palm Springs CA for almost 7 years. Older crowd and rather limited employment opportunities, compared to places like Dallas. But the services offered by the Desert AIDS Project are excellent. The DAP are always having fundraisers and events and I've volunteered for many. Desert lifestyle, lying by the pool with a cocktail...Toucans, The Toolshed, The Barracks, Hunters...and a huge gay population.

On a day to day basis I don't even think about it. Overall it's a negative, from the HIV restrictions in certain countries when travelling to life insurance, mortgage insurance, even in cases where health insurance is provided free with your job. That really ought to change though, as the benefits include some pretty good and proactive healthcare - so much so that HIV+ people may even start to outlive the general population because potentially dangerous health risks are discovered and treated sooner.

I used to be more top and not liking condoms often fucked bare. After HIV I wasn't interested in potentially infecting someone and possibly being hit with a lawsuit...and a couple of leather daddy tops teaching me the pleasure of submission restraint and being repeated fucked and filled helped me become the cum hungry fuckhole I am today.
