    If I had to sum up how I felt about the guys in our community that make the choice to start using I keep coming back to one strong feeling. And it’s one that some may object to due to it dumping a level of responsibility that they don’t think is fair. I’d like your feelings on what I’m about to say. THE USE OF METH IS AN ACT OF TREASON TO OUR COMMUNITY.

    I’m willing to take you at your word on your controlled use. However I’m sure those same words or similar are said by those who are in fact regular users who are on their way to rock bottom. One of my ex friends who hit bottom the hardest insisted he was only a “casual user”(his words), up until the day he lost his good paying job, got evicted and sold his BMW to pay back his dealer.

    Insightful words. I have always found it extremely hot to be a pig but to maintain control of your life. I find it so averse to be around people who are for lack of a better word a “hot mess”.

    Moderator's Note: I am leaving this in General for the time being as it is currently a discussion about addiction and the issue of meth in our community. Do NOT let it turn into a party discussion. Non party guy here. I have had 3 people I know completely throw their lives away and everything good with it to that cruel selfish bitch. Same story...... all thought they were in control of it when in fact she was completely in the drivers seat the entire time. I’ll never understand why people do this with the outcome being so predictable. Please help me to understand.

    Absolutely. And the fact that the failure was a one off says something. I remember when this was reported and we all stood by waiting for the dam to break. It has not. My apologies for the “dope” comment. I ageee that there is no need to make it personal but it’s infuriating to see someone lead someone who may be impressionable down a bad path.

    That’s right. Us PrEP’ers, if following the PrEP routine right are getting all our tests done every 3 months. I bet the rate of testing amongst non PrEP users is far smaller on average! Also,the tests also include a complete blood count and a metabolic panel, which may pick up on other issues outside of the PrEP and STI monitoring.

    Hey folks, in 2 weeks I’m taking a trip to Toronto and hoping to have a good piggy time! Is it a big issue taking poppers with me. I plan on to take them in my carry on bag. I do have TSA pre check here so less security leaving the US.

    I was wondering what steps are the best to minimize the risks of being assaulted or robbed in a situation where you put yourself out there to be taking loads? Especially the guys who like to be blindfolded. Have a friend there to monitor the situation. Or say that there will be one there even if it’s not true to make it undesirable for some bad actor to even show?

    Been on PrEP for 2 years and have been on here for a year or so and have some thoughts and observations. I do not count myself in the category of a chaser at all. In fact some of the anti PrEP things I see on here are crazy in my opinion. I really hope that it's just people playing in some fantasy world. I suppose my question is how do us PrEP folks feel about who don't like our choice to not want to acquire HIV? Have any of you received major attitude about it? Does it come from a place of anger or regret on the part of the antagonist? I am in a serodisconsordant relationship and I have no desire to become POZ. Nor does my husband want me to either. He is proud of his undetectable status and high CD4 count. Thoughts.

    PrEP awareness has definitely made great strides in the last couple years.

    Saturday night is the best. It seems to pick up after 10 pm. No problems with raw fucking! As with all bathhouses it can be hit or miss so don't hold me responsible for it's a bust for you!

    As far as I have heard there is only one singe case of PrEP failure that can be backed up with hard evidence. I think I have read in here about 2 or 3 other possible cases but there is no real follow up on them to tell the whole story, if there is a whole story. And then someone on here who is anti PrEP uses it to make the logical leap that PrEP dies not work?

    It would be great if there were a way for the cumunion organizers to promote it in a way that emphasizes playing and discourages gawking and walking! Obviously you can't force people to do things against their will.........dunno.
