As someone who works in the medical field myself I would say if your insurance covers it and you can afford whatever deductible then go see the specialist. If you maybe don't have the money or just might want to get a referral your general care physician should be more than capable of doing an exam and giving you his opinion. I always go to my primary first because I've been with him over twenty years and trust him completely with any issue. But obviously if I went to him with something like this he would examine me and if he felt I needed a specialist for a more thorough exam or second opinion then I'd go. Also sometimes some insurance companies make you see your primary first and require a referral for them to pay so honestly I'd say it's up to you and what your coverage will allow. Either way you'll be in good hands...or fingers...

Yeah, that's actually not good with that kind of constant pain.

You can have internal hemorrhoids. They don't exactly have any feeling, but they can lead to bloody stools. You can have exterior ones, on the skin around the anus, and those hurt like an SOB. Skin tags don't hurt, but they can be the result of years of shitting. It's also possible you have a really tight ass and aren't using enough lube.

The thing is, the only way to get to the bottom of it -- ha! -- is to see a GI doc. If you can see a gay GI doc, that's even better. If you have hemorrhoids or a fissure, they can be healed / fixed. If there's another issue, that needs to be looked at, too.

Yeah the tags don't hurt. If I had surgery to remove them it would be due to aesthetics, not pain. It's whatever is on the inside that hurts. Maybe it is internal hemorrhoids...or just a bruise as chaser suggested. Only one way to find out. Get to the bottom of it. Nicely put btw ?.

I just checked again to be sure. While standing up, it is on the bottom inner lining of my outer hole. Again...very small...but I KNOW it's there.

I would be so uncomfortable with his fingers in my ass. I know I'd start thinking about those stupid fucking Porn clips of the Dr exams leading into sex or also be worried he's judging me by my hole. Idk Then again my Dr is cute. Idk. Nevermind. Lol.

Ha. My PCP is a woman, my PrEP doc is gay, and they both recommended the GI doc, who was gay. It actually helped. It was nice to not to get any shocks from a doc when I talk about my sex life.

And I've never found it hot when a doc sticks their finger up my ass. For a bottom, it's really uncomfortable, no matter what. I think it's because there's no foreplay. No spanking. No spitting. No nipple twists. It's really clinical, not like trips to the doctor in porn films.

I really do recommend a doc you can be open with, though.

The doc removed a skin tag, too. And it hurt. Took a couple of days to heal as well.

If it's on the lining of your hole, that is going to need a doc to check too. You also want to have them rule out active HPV or cancer. Honestly, the odds are pretty remote that you have either, but you do need to get that checked out and ruled out.

I may have the tags removed...esp if they need to remove something else. You're exactly right about:

1) Being comfortable with talking about my sex life as it relates to health issues like this with my doc.

2) Checking out things like hpv/cancer if only to rule them out.

You're lucky that you have docs you are comfortable with.

I'm suddenly realizing things could have been a hell of a lot worse. lol.

Any problems when you first started taking dick again?

It took a while to heal but once it did, I was back to normal. No problems taking dick.

Ok, so as an "up and coming" bottom that's mostly topped his whole life, this thread could greatly benefit me as well. I have a few skin tags from hemorrhoids. That's on the outer hole. It's what might be inside that brings me here. What is a sphincterotomy? There are times when I just insert a small plug in and feel intense pain...like a sharp pain. This does not happen when I have a bowel movement. So I got sick of it and felt around inside (think working your fingers to relax and stretch your hole). I was looking for the specific source of this sharp pain.

I found it right inside where your fingers are able to bend so the can feel around in a "curled position." (I'm trying to describe this as detailed as I can)

It's on the bottom side if your standing up and checking things out. Whatever "it" is...isn't very big. In fact you could probably easily pass right by it without a thought...IF it wasn't the source of the piercing/sharp pain.

What is it? Should I just try to find a proctologist? I have insurance. Should I just have the surgery, take the months off (ugh) just so I can get rid of "it" and that pain? So after I heal I can go back to getting to the SEXUAL DESIRES I really want to get into?

Surgery down there always scares me not because of the actual surgery itself. It's the recovery time and things that I might have to do during the healing process that does.

Thanks for any help guys. Either respond on here or message me if you like.

Wait to have surgery until a proctologist prescribes it. It's a terrible surgery and the last resort. In a sphincterotomy, they basically cut the muscle fibers of the inner sphincter in order to weaken it. They weaken it if it won't stop spasming and/ or if a fissure won't heal because of a tightened sphincter. It gets strong again as it heals.

Thanks for the info.

How is the surgery terrible? Is it because of the healing? Time it takes? The baths you have to take during healing?

Yeh, it just takes time, and it's a sensitive area.

It depends on the surgery. If you are having a sphincterotomy, that's going to be more intense than having a fissure closed which will be more intense than having an external hemorrhoid removed than having an internal hemorrhoid removed.

It's been two weeks since I had the fissure closed and the skin tag removed. The pain after the surgery was a hell of a lot less than the pain from before the surgery. It's taken two weeks for their to be next to no pain from the area. I imagine in two more weeks, there will simply be none. The doc will be able to explain the differences when you go there. Plus, there's always Percoset

Still a little concerned about what happens when I start putting things back up there, but such is life.

Thanks. It will be nice to get back to getting fucked. Amazing how much you miss it after having it fairly regularly.
