It's not what you think.  Generally it's me reaching out to other guys and not getting a response or getting shot down.  Sometimes it turns into a bit of back and forth with someone that eats up several messages.  Also, if someone messages me and I am not interested, I kinda feel obligated to let them know so they're not left waiting on a response (basic Golden Rule stuff).

It's also a reflection of the fact that I'm not very good at planning and scheduling my hookups.  I'd probably do better if I were.  But I never know when the urge will hit me AND I'll have the time to set something up AND get myself ready.  Plus, my schedule can be weird.  It's all a bit disorganized.  Which means I end up scrambling for a hookup.  Which also tends to blow through the messages a bit.

bdsmlr is fucking hot .. the people who run the board are very responsive, post a daily account of what they fixed/what they're working on .. the posts are more edgy then tumblr was - but you can see that the "tumblr influence" is starting - a shift in posts from very edgy to .. umm .. less edgy?  not sure how to explain it .. the community is also much much smaller at the moment .. so if anyone thinks they can go on and gather thousands of followers quickly or easily - that's not going to happen .. but i'm excited to see where bdsmlr goes ..

cumblr on the other hand is a mess .. I've only been able to get on once or twice - to register - and what I'm totally pissed about is they don't display the screen name you enter - they display YOUR NAME .. as soon as I can get back on I'm going to try and delete my account .. 

twitter is also very good .. never knew there was so much porn on there - lots of vids .. getting followers is really easy .. 

and oddly enough - my follower count on tumblr has skyrocketed since 12/17 - lots of new posts coming though - more followers faster than before .. there have been a couple of days when my counts increased by over 200/day .. never had that happen before .. they don't have a grip on what they consider is "banned" - there is still a lot of dick to see .. and their bots sometimes can't tell whether someone is clothed (tight clothing) or naked .. can be frustrating at times .. but i'm still posting regularly there ..

I signed up for cumblr but can't even get past the front page where it asks you what your preference is by clicking on panels. You keep clicking on Gay but nothing happens. And there is no way to actually enter the site.....Don't even know how to log out or to delete my account.

I just wanted everyone to know that I've written an importer that can import Tumblr blogs into a social site that I plan on developing – https://s3x.social If you have a Tumblr blog you want to have on the site, send me a PM here. The imports can be huge and for now it's a manual process. (More like a proof of concept). I've imported all of my own Tumblr blogs and it seemed to work.

That said, the site has a LONG way to go. I don't even have profile pages or individual feeds. But I'll get there – it's literally just day 1 after a proof-of-concept. I haven't even fleshed out all the details or done any interface work.

It seems banning porn hasn't hurt Tumblr's traffic. I worry that when Twitter sees that it will think it should ban porn. That would be really bad for the #BBBH community. We don't really have critical mass anywhere else. So my initial goal is to cater to you guys and grow from there.

At least initially S3X_Social will only allow stuff targeted to gay and trans men. Fem content (female, trans fem and cross dressing) will not be allowed. That policy comes out of the experience with the straight forum here on Breeding Zone. I have zero interest in dealing with the problems of straight men (who are the consumers of fem content). With straight men comes sex trafficking, pimps, child molestation, etc. Those problems are FAR less prevalent in the gay (masc) community.

In terms of a timeline, I have an industry conference I'm going to in Phoenix at the end of March. I'll want to present S3X_Social there – to get the various porn sites to import their old Tumblr blogs, etc. So by that date it will be presentable as a concept. But a lot of the features won't work yet. There will just be enough so my sponsors can get an idea of where it's going. One thing I will (hopefully) be doing before then is scraping Twitter and Instagram and pulling the posts by pornstars and porn sites. I plan on using those tweets on my porn sites to flesh out pornstar and porn site profile pages. Anyway, I'd love to have some of your blogs imported by that time to show a good mix of content, so definitely get to me if you had a blog on Tumblr.
