I abandoned x-shitter long ago, as soon as rumors about Musk-et- were starting to spread. No, better. When I dumped my ex (october 2022) because plenty of memories about him were there. 

 

About "showing Musk the effect of his actions" I honestly don't believe he notices, or he even CARES: we rather should abandon that platform for our own safety? Yeah, this makes sense. But saying "I leave X to make Musk pay for his actions" is like saying "I kneel down and pray as soon as I test HIV positive so that God sends HIV out of my body". You get the idea? Or a pigeon shitting on the chessboard, flying away and assuming it's the winner. 

We can leave it to explore decentralized alternatives whatever they are (Bluesky and Threads aren't).

X banned me.  (I have not a clue why)  So it's a moot point and frankly, I don't care for it or any of the other places out there.  True I can't look at whatever image or video one sent me to go see, but somehow I think I'll get through my day just fine without it.  

We're having this conversation here on BZ.  We have the penchant amongst "us' to write to others here saying "let's take this conversation to (name your platform here, there are many)".  At one time I allowed myself to get sucked into that.  Now my phone is cleaner with few unnecessary aps to maintain and to be a future exposure to identity theft.  

X is as I observe from afar just a cesspool.  If one want to dig for pearls amongst the turds, have at it boys....  🙂

You're like me! I prefer to use this site for sex related stuff, I have a couple accounts in commercial instant messaging for work because they asked me to, but social networks won't have me! Not any longer!

This happened to me as well. I occasionally reposted dirty stuff and bantered with porn actors I thought were hot (Joel Someone can do ANYTHING HE WANTS TO ME, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!) And I got banned. For no apparent reason. I made a new dirty account but hardly ever look at it.

I was banned after a video was posted - demonstrators blocking vehicular traffic. I jokingly commented, "run them over". This comment, spoken in jest, was banned & one week later they allowed video of an attempted assassination to be aired WITHOUT consequences.

    An Orthodox Bishop??? was holding service, in Sydney, when he & another priest were attacked by a knife wielding miscreant. This VIDEO WAS NOT BANNED 😱🤬.

Elon cares a lot. He so desperately wants to be loved by the general public. He had an in-person temper tantrum over advertisers (customers) abandoning the site because of his antisemitic posts. Leaving the site to stick it to Elon is a good idea.

That being said, I also stopped using X for my benefit as did you.

I left Twitter (refused to use Musks new name) a few weeks ago after a long period of not tweeting. Musk destroyed any value it had and I really don’t miss it.  Exploring Bluesky now - seems kinder and more useful.  Don’t care if it bothers Musk or not - I suspect he will self destruct in time anyway.

And, for what concerns mr. Musk, I think he seriously lives out of this world due to the huge amount of money he has - for us common people, it can't be even imagined.

And he has no regards, we have seen it several times. He is the one who creates no ethical issue by paying teens from poor zones of the world, to make them create hundred of account for his propaganda and stuff, for maybe 1 dollar per hour. 

You know romance scam? Those criminal organizations who train and hire poor people to steal material from Internet and then check western countries' profiles (especially women but not only them) to capture their vulnerabilities. Then they ask for friendship, they become your ideal partner in an instant, and when they have caught you in their trap, they ask for money like no tomorrow. 

No, I'm not saying Musk is "a criminal", I'm not a judge and can't talk like this without proof. Saying I don't like him and he has no regards is one thing, accusing someone of crimes is defamation and it's a crime itself.

I'm saying he has the possibilities to increase his platform with human or bot accounts designed to create fake news. And surround himself of other rich folks verifying their accounts for his propaganda.

So, here's the big public he wants, with little effort.

That's what I think and that's why I find leaving it the only safe choice we LGBT folks can make.
