Carlos1881 Posted June 3, 2021 Report Posted June 3, 2021 I was hanging out with my cousins and they were having a debate about which one is better  Star Wars v Star Trek ? Which one do you prefer ? I must confess I’m a cosmic cocktail of Picard, Spock and Obi-wan  Live Long & Prosper and May the force be with you ..  Karl 😀
BlackDude Posted June 3, 2021 Report Posted June 3, 2021 Ever since that bug went in that guys ear on the Wrath of Kahn, I could never watch Star Trek
YourNoLimitsBottom Posted June 3, 2021 Report Posted June 3, 2021 Start Trek fan here. I like the detail of the ever-expanding universe, though there have been a few series that lost my interest relatively quickly. But statistically speaking they all can't be gold!
Flyguy2020 Posted June 3, 2021 Report Posted June 3, 2021 Both are great but Star Trek seems to have better story telling with topics/issues that parallel today’s current events. 2

Dr. Who is the correct answer. 😉 1 1 1 1
jeff238 Posted June 4, 2021 Report Posted June 4, 2021 Big Bang Theory. You get a little of all of them 😜
Guest Alphpig Posted June 4, 2021 Report Posted June 4, 2021 Star Trek and IMO Janeway was the best captain.Â

Boinxdoor19 Posted June 4, 2021 Report Posted June 4, 2021 Love them both (and this topic) but if I had to say all time favorite is StarTrek but in its entirety as conceived by Gene Roddenberry and his many contributors. The Star Trek universe is about as perfect science fiction as it can get, true science that pushes the boundaries. Imagine all the modern conveniences we take for granted today that were first explored in these stories. It’s a little spooky once you put the timelines together.Â

blackrobe Posted June 4, 2021 Report Posted June 4, 2021 This is like being asked your favorite movie. Impossible. Star Trek and Star Wars were both incredible formative for me. So, like most bottoms it all comes down to "Which answer gets the most seed in my cunt?" 1

Sisko was indeed promoted from Commander to Captain during the run of the series. Admirals sometimes command ships, but that does not make them the ship's "Captain" any more than Sisko being the commanding officer of the Defiant made him "Captain" until he was promoted to that rank. 1 1
DarkroomTaker Posted June 6, 2021 Report Posted June 6, 2021 None, Space 1999 for me. Especially Alan Carters bulge. OP, if I had to choose, it would be Star Trek.
