I think I’m over this site.

I’m noticing a decline in number and quality of posts as well. I don’t even post as much.

I like to hear about real guys experiences to get off or just educate myself. But all these exaggerated, clearly fiction posts mess up the vibe.

Way too much attention whoring in here.

I also think it’s a generational thing. I would guess most of the people who use the side of generation X. We were not raised with the pigginess of the 70s or with prep. We were raised to be afraid of sex so a lot of things we wanted to do we can only fantasize about. So we got into the habit of going on the Internet and talking without ever actually having to deliver. These are the same guys who would sit on A4A way back when, and invent new reasons as to why they could never meet. Eventually guys just got tired and it killed the site. Also, Gen X were the main ones pushing to ingratiate themselves with straight society in hopes of gaining acceptance. So a lot of the topics that come up alot really have no experienced, have no interest or have never done it. They are just on here looking for their particular niece or a fetish in there out.

Hopefully guys don’t get apathetic and it hurts this site as well because although I don’t agree with a lot of stuff on the site I think it’s very informative and fun at times.

I quite understand interest waning in any site. I’ve done it myself. I left Twitter and Facebook when both became cesspits of hate and misinformation. But as far as I’m aware, press gangs aren’t roaming the streets forcing anyone to be a member of this site or any other on the internet. With no disrespect to the original poster, I’m not sure why I’d feel the need to announce I was leaving. I’d just go. But maybe that’s just me.

I’m going to preface this in that I don’t intend to delete and disappear, but I am fairly sick of much of the content.

Bare sex between men has now become mainstream with the advent of PrEP and Tasp, which I find awesome. We can finally  just have the sex we want too, without care.

Right now we finally have the opportunity to have the hedonistic sex of the 1970’s again and it’s glorious.

I dated my first BF in the early 2000’s who was undetectable and it was scary as hell then. Now it’s normal, which is amazing.

however it’s seems now that many people on this site post flagrantly fake or false things about what they are talking about. I have talked to moderators before about this with their agreement.  The amount of lies and fakery to what people post has become absurd. I’d really like this site to be a community of likeminded people who are no judgmental, and just share in likeminded ideas, instead it seems like if you aren’t chasing a rattle snake while injecting T, and getting fucked by a guy with a 10 million VL it’s not enough.

RAwtop created a great space. I just wonder what that space has become.

im not against bugchasing (not my thing) or any kind of free speech, but I haven’t seen a “positive” (not like that) movement in this community in years. I also have to applaud rawtop in his efforts in this past year to rein in certain topics.

The anonymity of this site makes it very easy for some to live out fantasies and that’s okay. Hell. If people knew what my life was actually like vs my posts they would bust all the nuts. However, that’s also my point.  There is a lack of sanity here that’s more than concerning.

People actually come here for advice and information and if the first response they see as a vulnerable person is “yeah take all the loads and get the gift and share it” I think we are doing it wrong.

if this community wants to descend into the equivalent of “smoke yourself to death” hey, cool it’s a free country. I just won’t be around for it. Wanna talk about hot anon sex all over the place? Fuck yes.

My personal stories which I have never shared here are in the top 5% of all I have read on here. I don’t talk about them because as someone involved in public health I don’t find it appropriate, but if you google rawrods I’ve played with a few.

In closing, I don’t know what the future is for this site. After being around this community for almost 10 years; it now seems really lost. We have new guys with zero clue, older meth addicts telling everyone to get charged and others maybe getting off on it? Anyway I’m done and I wish everyone on here the best.

I share a lot of the sentiments you're voicing. Thanks for taking the time and effort to post these.
Especially what you're saying about the 'advice' vulnerable people get here.

I'm not in favour of tabooing anything and perhaps forbidding certain subjects in itself is counterproductive. Loads of people like to think they're bad-ass so if it's not allowed, they want it.
What you call a 'lack of sanity' I see as a lack of people being real, in stead people act like they are characters in a porn-movie.

I hope your post helps to get all of us here to be just a bit more ourselves and enjoy life.

Peace.

I can’t agree more and will elaborate tomorrow.

I made it clear in my original post I wasn’t leaving. It’s more about the dissatisfaction with the proliferation of overt fake and false content rather than what actually we all have an interest in on here.

Just to add, I dont favor the posts of some posters obsessed with purposely infecting others with STDs and HIV and writing about it on a public site. It is difficult blocking or not reading these posts because they can pop up anywhere in any post, even galleries.

I would also like to ask that galleries can be added to the block user button so I dont have to see them users there either that I have blocked.

Posts about purposely infecting others with STDs other than HIV are banned on the site. Ones about infecting others with HIV are restricted to the Backroom. If you see regular posts that violate these rules, please report them, and if it's not obvious add a note in the report about why you're flagging it.

I'm not sure what can be done about the problem of gallery posts by users on your block list; it depends on the underlying forum software that @rawTOP used to create the site. If you want to have him look at it, post the suggestion in the Tips, Tricks, Rules and Help forum.

Appreciated Viking, thank you

Just a thought, but would it be possible to put some kind of flag on a new topic that bug chasing comments are not welcome when a new forum topic outside the backroom forums?

I like the idea of reminding people in general — or were you thinking of a flag that the person who starts a particular new thread can set, to indicate that bugchasing discussion isn't the purpose of the thread? (A field for "What this thread is not about" could benefit both those who dislike fetishes and those who like them. For example, every time someone brings up cheating sex, people with moral objections drown out erotic discussion, making it impossible to discuss cheating as a fetish. Separating the fetish angle of a subject from other angles, such as moral or medical angles, leaves everyone a space.)

I think either of those would be an improvement. I don't like it when guys use threads I start as opportunities to talk about bugchasing.

Another improvement would be splitting the Chemsex into its own forum so it can be hidden if you aren't interested.

It is in its own forum, "Sex With Enhancements" and the corresponding fiction forum, "Chem Sex Fiction". If you find chems posts outside those areas, please report them!

Again, I'm not sure whether this can be done with the Gallery, but I agree that would be preferable. The long-awaited new site is (I believe) being built from the ground up to handle these things better.
