Daddybear54, this is the first writing posted to this site that I have chosen to parse out a chapter or two a day, with many bringing smiles, even laughter, and tears to my eyes in the end. Thank you for sharing your creativity and self with us.

@drew4fun Thank you for your message. I'm sure it won't surprise you when I say that writing the ending had me in tears too, not least because I hadn't expected the story to end like that at all when I was starting. Also, glad to hear that you enjoyed the little bits of humour that I slipped in.

I laughed, cried, got excited, fantasized, jacked, and feel in love with a bunch of characters who could have been equally at home in my world of Chelsea, and Fire Island. I saw myself, my friends, and all the fun we had over so many years. I would love to see this story, and Hawaiian Nine, combined into a television/movie. It is a journey similar to so many other journeys we have all been on. Bravo!

@LiamHudsonXXX thank you so much. It's an intriguing suggestion. I thought of the two as completely separate stories which happened to intersect at one point. Among my previous stories "Three's the Cure" was a very definite continuation and extension of "Affairs of State." Thanks for the powerful compliment about my characters.
