PozTalkAuthor
European as well, but IMHO the whole developed world depends on America for many factors (technology could be just one). If export taxes increase, free speech decreases for certain topics, algorithms decide what you can and can't read on search engines (forget social networks for now)... It's a global trouble. Yes, we can't treat the disease before it comes, Trump has yet to sit on that chair and who knows if he does everything he claims to. But what we can do, is make an effort to be UNITED as a community for example. Can I say, there are fights even among LGBT community, how could we sound worthy of trust if we argue for many things? My local community even argued on what a singer said about a politician and pride events! Wtf! I have the LUCK to know a "proud Trumpist" Texan man who is very pleasant to talk to - he's partnered to the first man I had sex / made love with. Long-distance affair, who knows how long it lasts, but that's other issue. He was very very happy about elections outcome, he's even positive for HIV and Hep C, and I asked him how on Earth he willingly trusted a clearly homophobic and misogynist man. How he can still trust Republicans after his sister lost 2 baby twins suffering hard because they could have died immediately but the hearts were still beating and anti-abortion laws forced doctors to revive them, delaying their death through 3 weeks of AVOIDABLE suffering. How he could vote a man who could make gay marriage (and maybe homosexuality?) illegal. He said "believe me buddy, when you're hungry and thirsty you even survive eating your excrements. When you have foreigner bullies threating you every time you walk across the street you don't care of gay marriage and stuff, you hope that someone stops all of this". It's safety, it's economy warranties. I can't ever imagine how some people live, although I think culture background is relevant. But for this topic, it's another issue coming from very far behind. A system based solely on money where every choice is made if it's convenient. No matter if it's fair, if it's not convenient it cannot be done. Referring also to fake DEI programs where they invite people talking about underrepresented groups for webinars and stuff but then never respect basic rules to overcome physical obstacles for people with disabilities, just an example. Or talk about women rights then have no welfare policy for families. My 2 stupid cents.
TrashNoLoss
6 hours ago, Erik62 said: Biden & Harris, YOU BOTH will bare the Hi, I really don’t think you could blame them. I really don’t think you can give former president Trump credit for winning. The blame lie solely at the feet of the American Voter. The American Voter, is seen more regularly as the American Employee at any company where they work for someone else or themselves. And the American Employee cares about only one thing doing what they’re told and making sure their paycheck has their pay. And when the American Employee turns into the American Voter then their shortsightedness aligns. Decision-making is only based on their fantasy of what money really is and who’s responsible for it and what’s its purpose. So the American Voter said to themselves : my pockets were fuller when Trump was in office therefore he must be the reason. These are the same American Voters who want to chain women to have babies because they got pregnant on purpose as sluts, except for their own daughter. United States is now Selfish States or the S.S. PozBearWI
A few hours have passed. I've had a few conversation with other sane peers. So, no, I am not resigning my board seats. TBH I don't know what the future is going to bring us. But if we don't pull together it will be worse than if we don't. 1
Versholefun
It’s time to stop, people need to realize we’re all in the same boat. Hating this man right now is the equivalent to boarding an airplane and hoping the pilot fails. 2

Erik62
6 hours ago, PozBearWI said: Wow @Erik62, thanks for your support? Harkening back to other analogies, it ain't over till the fat lady sings. Blaming this on Harris and Biden is just stupid. They aren't and never were dictators, and so they don't have sole control of outcomes. We met our NATO agreements with Israel. And it was important to be good to our word. I think grandpa Joe waited a bit too long to step back; but 2020 hindsight is always clearer vision that foresight. We, those of us living in the US, have work ahead of us to climb out of the hole we just dug. So we have a choice fellows... We can give up and do like the orange clown and whine. Or we can get to work. Who do you wanna be? The United States & its people have always had & will continue to have my FULL SUPPORT, no matter what. An "outsiders" viewpoint is often more DOOM especially when we have such a heavy reliance on defence cooperation & undoubtedly we can not assume the same levels of this (AUKUS, Darwin, Pine Gap) as we have enjoyed in the past. Legal & humanitarian responsibilities are a double edged sword. The legal to Israel & the humanitarian to the people of Gaza, the West Bank & Lebanon. Biden & Harris are not dictators (agreed) but, they have failed both the Ukrainian & the Palestinian peoples by their less than vocal rhetoric to bring the greatest degree of pressure for the required humanitarian outcomes. As for the legal guarantee to Ukraine (1994) , by the US & other Western governments, of complete protection from Russia, if they surrendered their nuclear armourments. That is a betrayal that ALL NATO countries must bare equally. As in Australia, this chaotic rise of the extreme Right is a direct response to the movement of the left: your Dems, our Labor, the UK's Labor etc, to the absurd levels of left wing WOKEISM that has been garnered over the last 20yrs or so. The Wests political & civil authorities appear to have lost all degree of common sense, logic & the realities that most people live with & wish for their families & communities. It is time we brought some stability of traditional values & EQUALITY FOR ALL (not just specific groups) back into our lives before we are lost to the dangerous rhetoric of the far right leaders. It appears that the Australian Federal & State governments are on the same path with the increasing levels of Wokeism & illegal immigration which is encouraging the rise of right wing sentiment & associated violence. Unfortunately, the US now has a President who will potentially be as despotic as those the US & the West have tried their hardest to keep out of power since WW2. With his potential control of both Houses & of SCOTUS, this presidency will be felt for at least another 40yrs. Hopefully there will be people in positions of power who will "see the light" & bring some common sense, logic & reality to this presidency. The rebuilding of cohesion, stability & pride in country will not be easy & it will not happen tomorrow but, I believe that it can be done. Strangely, I do agree with much of Trumps right wing policies but, it is the vitriolic, hurtful, racist, discriminatory, narcissistic & mysogynistic manner in which he delivers his message, that offends. Hence my projections of gloom. The world looks towards the United States for guidance & strength in unity. May this always be so 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇬🇧.

It appears that you enjoy a substantial understanding of this "wokeism" to which you refer. I, for one, would really appreciate an explanation. If you'd be so kind as to explain what you mean by it - NOT HERE - but in the thread I posted many months ago asking that exact question, I would be grateful.
