I was feeling really unwell for several weeks (3-4 weeks). Lacked energy and lots of sleep required. It took several weeks (4-6 weeks) for energy levels to return. Chatting with mates several reported mild/no sero conversion illness (fuck flu) symptoms and some report a very rough time (like my experience). -

I remember symptoms of fuck flu coming on about two weeks after the fuck that did it. My fuck flu lasted several weeks and was hell: massive night sweats leaving bed sheets dripping wet, sore throat, little energy. I understood what was happening. I had a good GP at respected clinic. I had network of mates (range of neg, unsure, poz detectable and poz undetectable) comfortable navigating poz stuff. I wasn’t exactly chasing but had been expecting it might happen – a few years embracing random and anon raw play. I knew I had to ride out the fuck flu and try to ease the symptoms as best I could. I didn’t feel like sex for couple months while recovering. No recurring illness or fuck flu since then. After the fuck flu passed I returned to enjoying good raw fucking. I have a respect for mates that experience similar fuck flu journey. I kinda regard fuck flu and turning poz as kind of like a coming-of-age / right-of-passage thing. If you going through fuck flu know that you are not alone in your experience. Seek out understanding and supportive mates. Get back to enjoying hot raw fucking when you ready. -
