The rubber bands weren't that tight. It did cut off a substantial amount of scrotal skin circulation. 12 hours later my balls swelled and I had to go to the emergency room. If you look at the bottom of the result, it does list that your strain has other mutations for the RT (reverse transcriptase) gene and the PR (protease) gene. Variability in those genes are expected, and as long as they are not resistant to the nrti, nnrti or pi used, the clinician can decide what is the best choice treatment for u. -

Means u do NOT have hiv that is resistant to any of the antiretroviral drugs used. This is to help the clinician decide what drug regime is suitable for u. Just the common HIV-1 subtype B which is most common in America, Europe and Australasia. Don't worry bout it, I am sure the doctor can discuss the result with u and how to proceed from thereon. -

Yup Tenvir EM by Cipla, works like truvada and much cheaper. Over here the govt provides HAART Atripla as one tablet Tenvir EM and a separate tablet of efavirenz. No issue with Cipla's Tenvir or else the patients here won't have achieved viral suppression in treatment.

Did you start treatment when you reached the later stages of infection ie symptomatic and aids defining stage? If so could be due to a larger viral reservoir in the body and there are reports that these group blips more frequently, but then again it could also be the fault of the particular lab. If switching to another diagnostic lab reduces the blips significantly then the lab might be the cause.
