    Usually when a message is edited you can see that at the bottom of the message. It says who edited it and when. If it doesn't I would ask one of the staff who edited your story. To my knowledge only you and a member of staff can edit your messages. And, as someone mentioned, the staff member would mention why it was edited. And keep in mind that a vid owner on Xtube may have added the PIN after someone here posted a link to it (brand new ones) and is not aware it is now PIN protected. Maybe a vid owner can only add a PIN after the vid is released so it has been free to view for a limited time? Anyway, overall it doesn't bother me too much. I just move on to the next. If the vid is older then it would indeed be polite to add the PIN in the BZ message/link to it so everyone can watch it. But I understand your frustration.
