Thanks. I guess I am surprised that most guys use condoms. This seems like a pig party on a grand scale and I kinda expected barebacking to be the norm. Aside from getting hosed down, you will find me in the condom free zone.

Go to The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. There is an outpost in West Hollywood that will assist you with both getting on PrEP and STDd testing. This is free of charge. Please look it up online and get Prepped!

I actually brought this up in a different thread earlier this year. Long term PrEP user. My Dr. ( who is an infectious disease specialist as well as an internist) is handling part of the study for Gilead. I am candid with him over my sea life and how many partners I have monthly. He has treated me for a, ahem, few STD's. He knew that I was on another PrEP study three years ago and asked me to participate. I mentioned this on a thread here and there was some general concern. You are correct that it is approved for JIV Truvada users. They don't know the efficacy as a PrEP alternative. The make up of the new drug has changed so that a large portion of the drugs are not naturally cleared by the body before being effective, so the new makeup has the same amount of the drug but is ,ore effective and at a lower dosage. There is lees of the drug in the Anal area. I was all gung ho to start the study, but then realized that you are putting yourself at a greater risk with unknown efficacy versus the tried and true Truvada. Given the number of partners I have and that 95% of the time I bottom and get loaded, I decided against taking the risk. It is a great study, just not for me. For those guys who miss the risk of bar back with out PrEP. This is an ideal study for you.

I totally agree with all lfukbud. I am partnered, but we play extremely well with others. If anything, I think we both make a strong effort to make sure the 3rd has a good time, which makes it more enjoyable for us. Sometimes I let him start without me and join after a little while and vice verse. It probably helps that I get really turned on by watching him make out with other guys and he loves watching me get bred.

From a total Pig's perspective, those are impressive numbers and I am in awe of you. That said, just for the intellectual knowledge of it, like the poster above, Imwould be interested to know what, if any STD's were picked up during Folsom. Especially Hep C. Trust me, NO judgement here at all (if anything, I am envious), just curiosity.

I spoke with the study coordinator. They relayed that the effectiveness of Descovy vs. Truvada has already been established as a PrEP replacement. The study is looking at the toxicity levels on the kidneys and loss of bone density at different drug levels. You will be given either a higher dose of Descovy or lower and measure the toxicity based on the drug strength that you take. At both levels, the drug is still effective as a PrEP regimen. It is a three year study. The biggest downside right now is that you have to stop taking Truvada for 30 days before going on the trial. That means either I will have to abstain, or gasp, use condoms again.

I have been on PrEP for over two years. I went from being a totally safe bottom to going to Cum Union parties and taking multiple loads. I have also taken numerous Poz loads from guys - all without becoming HIV positive. I do have a gay Doctor who is also an Infectious disease specialist. He treated me for a handful of STD's all without judgement and we regularly talk about the kind of sex I have and the number of partners I have been. During my last visit, he asked me generally how many partners I have been with over a three month period. I gave him the average, as the double digit was high. He then asked if I would be interested in participating in a new PrEP next gen drug, Descovy that he said would be better tolerated long term (kidneys and bone health). Descovy is currently FDA approved as a Truvada replacement, but they are not sure over the long effectiveness for PrEP. Does anyone have any anecdotal information on this drug and can you advise anything? This will be a long term study (two + years and the study coordinator is contacting me. Thanks.

Agree. You are fine. Been on PrEP for over two years. A,Amorites of the guys that I let fuck me are Poz (okay I have a thing for Poz guys). My Doctor knows what a slut I am and he is fine with my sex habits as long as I adhere to the regimen. Stick with the Trucada and enjoy your sex life to the fullest! -

I also have been on PrEP for two years now. While I was initially nervous about Poz loads, that went away a long time ago. I would say that 60% of the guys that I bottom with are Poz. (If not higher), but I rarely ask anymore. I have had STD's (Syphillis and Chlamydia x 2) and stil test neg. My Dr. Is a HIV specialist and he regularly asks me about bottoming without condoms. He knows that I regularly have sex with Poz guys and doesn't encourage me otherwise (aside from adhering to the regimen). -

Wow! Great time at Team Pig! It's like a lounge meets sex orgy. Great space for just socializing (with a lot of (good food) and two bartenders with free mixed drinks that were included in the entrance fee. Plenty of play spaces and each and every room was packed. Sometimes there were just no places to get fucked other than just standing up and taking it. Only a few people actually wore their Toga (I didn't and glad that I didn't) and I am sure that it impeded their fun. Most wore jocks and some leather. Great party. I got fucked royally. Good crowd, much funner than Cumunion. Highly recommend that you go if you get the chance.
