Looking at it from the retail side of what the "major"(sic) studios are releasing: more of the Condoms Only studios have started releasing bb videos since 2018, or they have "consolidated with" (read that as "bought up") smaller bb lines. Some *directors* (one in particular) only shoots A or B, and so are only shooting for A or B type studios. One more BIG CHALLENGE from covid: in addition to film production being shut down for so long, now there's the problem of no "raw material" as in blank DVD media to burn discs in bulk. If your duplicator doesn't have enough blank DVDs, you're out of the stores. It will rush the end of the life cycle for ALL porn categories on disc.
