    Agree that Darlaston is a better setup and a larger venue. Darlaston is popular with south asian guys - Luton you do get some as there is a big south asian community in Luton, but you also get a lot of Eastern European guys at the Luton Sauna too. They did refurbish the darkroom in the Darlaston basement a while back, and when they put the sling back up it is really badly adjusted as the chains are at such a wide angle you have to kinda do exterme splits to rest your feet on them. Likewise the height adjustment was all wrong. I did ask them to adjust it whenever I visited, but they never did. Similarly the sling in the upstairs playroom has very wide chains - although not as bad as the one in the basement - it is just about usable. Luton Greenhouse has a license, so they sell alcohol there. Darlaston they didn't. Also call ahead to Luton if the weather is windy as they had a problem where their boilers and heat stops working when it gets windy, so you can get there to find the Jacuzzi and steam isn't working and the place is cold. The manager and staff of the Darlaston GH were always amazingly helpful and friendly. There's a skinny guy who I think is the manager at Luton who is less than friendly and can be really "off" with customers. He hates people calling to see if it is busy or that all the facilities are operating. It's not so much what is said, but the way it is said... Tutting and sighing if you ask for a something from the kitchen or bar. I once approached him for first aid after I'd cut my foot on broken glass from a discarded broken poppers bottle in the steam room and his reaction was pretty nasty - as if I'd been careless and done it on purpose, and now he had to clean it up. First Aid? They sell plasters and antiseptic cream in the supermarket down the road.

    There seems to be a trend toward monetisation of everything. I'm seeing more and more on instagram in the fetish community lads asking for specific items of gear to be bought for them so they can post pictures of themselves in it - a teaser since they save the juicier stuff for OnlyFans... Then there's the "cash master" phenomenon - this seems to be dying out a bit lately, but you do still see guys advertising on social media and some hookup sites that you need to buy them something from their Amazon wish-list or add to their PayPal before they'll answer your messages. There are other similar examples. Businesses have realised that subscription models are the most lucrative rather than single transactions.     Not for the squeamish: In my younger years, I had a very tight foreskin which was quite inhibiting and difficult to live with. When I became more sexually active around age 20 or so, a rather over enthusiastic hand job put me in Hillingdon Hospital.     Yes - I had a phase of enjoying rimming guys in Laboratory - but I eventually got a gastrointestinal bacterial infection that was particularly nasty and no amount of immodium would touch. The NHS being what it is, it took nearly two weeks to see a doctor who ordered a test which was abandoned because the paperwork was filled out wrong. They wouldn't give out any antibiotics until the test showed what was in the sample. Anyhow, faced with another week's wait for an appointment, then the test and follow up, I paid to go private and saw a specialist, got tested and got some meds all on the same day. I forget the cost - but it was enough that I decided that giving rim jobs to random guys was and expensive and painful risk...     Agree with this. Working from home means I am in the chiltern hills, outside of London. As Viking says you see the same ten or twelve faces on all the apps and after a few years it's either happened or it'll never happen. Now the infection rates are up again and total lockdown starts in a few days, most guys are using the apps for window shopping and wanking.

    I don't know if it's related but I had a lot of problems with BBRT when I was with BT as my ISP. Sometimes I had to use my mobile phone 4g tethering to get it to work. As I remember it was something to do with the encryption/security in https: being messed with by BT. It was a bit of a pain, and I eventually switched to Virgin Media and that worked no problems. But I will say this was using the site not registering a new address.

    The reputation score on here is a pretty good indicator of how engaged someone is in the community and I imagine it is difficult to keep up a charade for a long time and get a good reputation on here if you're a fake. It's only an indication: even with reasonable reputation scores, there are sometimes suspicious posting patterns that do make me wonder if one person is using multiple profiles to promote themselves. That said, I believe we shouldn't discriminate and we should always be welcoming and accepting of new members who will naturally have low reputation scores. I quite like the way you can leave encounter feedback on people's profiles on Squirt.org. You can also do the same on NKP but the nature of that site is that you tend to get some sub/btm guy with a load of comments on his profile from other bottoms trying to attract attention from any tops browsing rather than useful feedback. BBRT has the option to link profiles with play buddies and this is usually a good indicator of how engaged someone is in playing.

I was up Hampstead last night in the darkroom area there was a guy who kept filming using his phone with the light on and taking pics with the flash.     Thanks @Rawplug. Had a great weekend in Manchester/Salford Quays. Rawplug and I have been conversing online for a long time so it was great to finally meet him and his fuckbud for a session.     I have a rubber douche thing that attaches to the shower hose. It's about 14" long and 1" diameter. Once you have one it then become necessary to study pictures of hotel bathrooms to determine if the shower is plumbed in or has a hose... If it's a quickie and going to be very short time between cleaning and play I then I do a shallow douche not beyond the second hole. If I know he's well endowed or it's a longer session or there is travel time involved then a deeper douche is called for with several iterations and I also use Immodium. Also I'll pack a portable douche kit, just in case.     Hampstead Heath last night: someone on BBRT posted they were going to set up a sling in the trees - I thought this was an interesting idea and worth seeing. I went up there and explored extensively but never found the guy. It seems like a good idea and I might well investigate a good spot to do that in the daylight.     Agree with this: When you write stuff you are writing it from your perspective and through the lens of your perceptions. When someone else reads it they apply their own perspective and perception. That's why online disagreements - even on here - sometime happen. It is a skill to write in such a way that anyone can read something and come to the exact same understanding as the writer. If someone skim-reads a bunch of text then it can amplify the potential for a difference in understanding. I guess when guys are horny and browsing profiles, they're not studying the text in detail. Just picking out keywords. I think it pays to be explicit and succinct in profiles, keeping what you're after simple and easy to pick out and understand and not require interpretation or much understanding. One thing is for sure: However much care you take to make your profile text better, you'll always stumble across a better idiot. Some people use lists of what they're into (particularly on fetish sites) and I think although this fits the succinct and explicit idea, a list gives the impression that someone is looking for someone into all the items on the list, even if it says "One or more of the following:" that is often missed or misinterpreted. The other thing I don't like to see in a profile is lots of negativity.

    Don't get me wrong - I'm all about choice - and I am happy places are reopening from the point of view that they need to do so to survive. I just think that like many things post covid we shouldn't expect them to be the same as they were before the shutdown. Not only venues and policies, but people's attitudes and behaviours have also changed. I was reading on the website for the Club Zeus Sauna in Mansfield that although they are re-opened, the Sauna and Steam remain closed and there are a number of new rules in place. Boiler in Berlin reopened on August 17th, and their website seems to say that masks are required except for sauna, showers and pool. They also mention following distancing rules. Rules may be there for appearance sake to appease the authorities. Whether or not this happens in practice we don't know unless we visit... If anyone has actually been it would be interesting to hear what your experience was like?
