Research indicates that brain maturity generally extends to around age 25. Implications: This prolonged development period means that young adults may still be experiencing changes in their decision-making abilities and emotional regulation during their early twenties. ** Based off this information I’d make 25 the recognized age of adulthood and restrict drinking, driving, joining the military, legal decisions/judgements and voting ages, etc. until after an individual reached 25.
