Mans Country had a very old smell even as you walked inthe front door, and my bad luck there was a lesbian song fest going on across the street in the parking lot, so the baths were really dead until late. About 11:00 P.M. the action was beginning to pick up, but I was ready to head back up to the JackHammer and the basement Hole Bar in the basement. Baths in Denver are kind of a disappointment compared with how they can be in other cities. There are three of them.

The Triple C is downtown. Basically, it's not worth your time unless you're a tweaker. If you are a tweaker, it's a good place to score; drugs are sold pretty openly. Also, bedbugs. The one advantage: occasional bareback porn.

The Midtowne is on the west side, just past I-25 and north of Speer on Zuni. Probably a bit more popular with the bearish crowd, although younger guys do go there too, particularly Latinos. I've shown up at times I would have assumed would be pretty quiet and had a pretty decent time (last time was a recent Monday afternoon where I ended up breeding a pretty hot anonymous ass). Good public sex opportunities that are well used, including a sling and lots of gloryholes and dark corners (all down in the basement).

The Denver Swim Club is out east on Colfax. Tends to get a bit of a younger crowd, although there are older guys there too. Public sex facilities are pretty much just a dark room (that is pretty well used) and a sling in an amazingly tight corner that manages to prevent much of any showing off. The big advantage is the two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor, which is nice, particularly in summertime.

All of the baths have scary signs warning that you will be kicked out if you bareback. I've never seen that rule enforced.

If you're a top, you'll do fairly well. I rarely have trouble finding a guy who wants my cock and load. If you're a bottom, depending on your looks you'll probably get one or two. A couple more if you're lucky. But I don't hit any of the baths and expect a gang-bang (either as the bottom or one of the tops). I personally think the problem is that the environment here, including within the gay scene, is pretty conservative.
