Let's try and get a discussion going about the benefits of these places. What are the positive (no pun intended) aspects of these places? I'll start it off: 1. It removes the "glass veil" of the mobile phone screen - the person you see is the person in the flesh; no guessing as to what they are really going to look like. I think the only surprise would be what they may be packing under the towel. 2. You realise you may have broader tastes in men than you thought. Similar to the above, you may see a guy in person that, if you saw his photo on an app, you'd pass him by. In the flesh, though, you sometimes discover this hidden sexual energy that could lead to some amazing fucking sex! 3. There's little secret as to why everyone is there. You rarely have this dance of "is this a date, is this a hookup, what is this" that you sometimes get when meeting guys elsewhere. I'm not exactly going there to read a library book, after all (that may be showing my age a bit). 4. Honestly, it's a great way to relax. Once I'm in, I usually head straight to the jacuzzi and just kick back for a bit. Gives you a good chance to check out the options as well. If you spend enough time, you'll get what you are looking for, be it topping or bottoming. Just takes time. I don't have to worry about cops busting the place, like an ABS/Theater. Funny that, in Oregon as long as you are in a booth, it’s considered a private room and consensual sex between adults. I like being able to observe and figure out who is into what (top, bottom, versatile, oral, anal etc). 3. I like being able to switch roles. Online I am a versatile bottom but if I am in a topping mood, the anonymity of the bathhouse allows me to do that and I know I will get all the ass I want there. 4. If the weather is cold or dreary, it's very nice to hang out, enjoy the sauna and the steamroom - and get laid too. 5. I find the steamroom to be great relief when my sinuses are acting up. 6. In the bigger cities, bathhouses tend to stay open 24 hours, or at least are open non-stop over the weekend. You don't even need to book a hotel! 7. Some bathhouses offer full meals, which can be quite tasty and priced affordably. 8. Often you can get a nice non-sexual massage at a sauna on very short notice. 9. Because guys are moving between cabins, darkrooms, showers, steamroom and sauna, it's harder for them to be glued to their phones. 10. The time wasted in setting up on line trick and of course they flake or give a lame ass excuse you could have easily got or given several loads. Too many bridges burnt on line so I go where the serious men who want to play in real life versus fantasy on a screen. Everyone has experienced what you referenced above; everyone laments about it happening time and again. I do not know how much time I have wasted trying to set something up with someone met on line- in a way it is like the adult book stores where you know almost right away if you are going to pair up ( or more) with someone.
