I’m disappointed in you. The things you post usually aren’t factually insupportable, demonstrably false, or fail a simple test of rational analysis. This is, and does.

Moreover, assuming that by the undefined quality of “better” you mean “better at being President”, you cannot soundly make such a claim for two reasons:

1: Trump has, by any measure, demonstrated his unfitness and incapacity for the position (or indeed any position held in the public trust - as an Executive Branch civil servant for 30 years under multiple administrations I can state that with some authority), and

2: As none of the Democratic contenders have yet held the office, you have no basis for an equivalent comparison.

Ironically, I could with greater accuracy say that a stick of butter would be a better president than Donald Trump, because at least a stick of butter would not end up betraying thousands of Kurdish allies to rape and ethnic slaughter.

The things politicians say are generally good, and what they actually do falls short.
If we start with what the Democrats say, which is bad, and then they fall short of that, we get a corrupt PC surveillance state where everyone is on the dole (Baltimore:Democrats) and the First World norms of  clean water (Flint:Democrats) and 24 hour electricity (California:Democrats) vanish. We get gangs running the streets and nobody but criminals owning guns (Chicago:Democrats) and zero oversight of corruption in government (DC:Democrats).

These are demonstrable facts.

Your results may vary, but based on the Democratic Debates, there are positions the Democratic nominee... whoever he or she is... will be representing:
1. State-run health care paid for by tax increases.

2. De facto open borders and free health care for illegal immigrants.

3. Severe gun control up to and including gun confiscations.

4. Severe restrictions on gas and oil development in the USA. Some candidates would even stop fracking, which has permitted the USA to become energy independent.

5. Increased economic hardships in the name of fighting 'Fighting Climate Change.'

6. Restrictions on 1st Amendment rights in the name of "fairness and equality."

As for LGBT issues, which to some people are paramount over issues of economics and basic freedom, Donald Trump is 1. the first president ever elected who openly favored gay marriage before being elected 2. Has made ending laws against homosexuality a focus of his foreign policy 3. Appointed a gay man as ambassador to Germany OVER THE OBJECTIONS OF DEMOCRATS and 4. Worked to increase the availability of PrEP.

So, while I don't like much about Trump --- the often unnecessary combativeness, the deference to aspects of the police state ---  the Democrats are worse on all the issues that matter to me, and the Democrat propaganda about him being "Anti-LGBT" is just scare-talk to keep low-information voters on the plantation.

I also like that he doesn't seem hot and heavy to start wars in the Middle East like the last two presidents.

Look at the way the knives are out for Tulsi Gabbard; for the crime of being slightly less insane than the other candidates.

Look, anyone who wants to vote Trump go ahead. I'm just saying that voting for a man who says one thing and does another is no friend of the LGBTQ community. And if you don't care about that, despite being a part of the community, then I don't know how you can stomach that.

Uhh.. the people who literally were instrumental in the suppression of ISIS? The people who guarded the jails they were in? The ones America supported, and made promises too? Fuck them... because???

You don't see how that may become an issue with literally any of your other allies ever? Or how pathetic and weak it makes America look?

Or the fact troops are being relocated to Saudi Arabia.. "because they pay."  ?????

This is what I mean. Y'all are fucking wilding out here and you're going to get exactly what you deserve when Trump, and Pence, and his collection of ghouls are like "fuck the gays."

I don’t give a shit about Kurds, Wheys, Sheeits, Sunnies, or anybody over there. They have been killing each other for centuries over NOTHING. It is irresponsible to sell these goat fuckers weapons. It’s murder to send our brave troops over there to get slaughtered. It’s child abuse to recruit high school kids to fly drone weapons against their women and children.

Although Trump and Pence are not “coming for the gays” at this time, they are deporting good people,  and politics based on scapegoating will always land on us eventually. Currently however, the Democrats would turn the whole country into Baltimore, so that’s not a viable option.

There several possible imminent futures, including:

Some Rand Paul or Ayn Rand type leading the USA back to the Constitution. A Hitler type doing Hitler things.  The Federal Empire collapsing under its own weight, leaving the States to become like small countries. Mega cities like Atlanta and Dallas having actual laws and food, with everything else being mayhem. Or, most likely, the events as described in the Book of Revelation.

A canny politician, Trump surely understands well that the base on which he relies, by now almost the entire Republican Party, has drifted to a surreal world, in part under his influence. Take the major Trump-Ryan legislative achievement, the tax scam — “The US Donor Relief Act of 2017,” as Joseph Stiglitz termed it. It had two transparent aims: to enrich the very wealthy and the corporate sector while slamming everyone else, and to create a huge deficit. The latter achievement — as the main architect of the scam Paul Ryan helpfully explained — provides the opportunity to realize the cherished goal of reducing benefits that serve the general population, already very weak by comparative standards, but still an unacceptable infringement on the prerogatives of the 1%. The congressional Joint Committee on Taxation estimates that the law will add $1 trillion to deficits over the next decade. Virtually every economist generally agrees. But not 80 percent of Republican voters, of whom half believe that the deficit will be reduced by the gift their leader has lavished upon them.

Except.... Trump is still going to send kids out to fight in that war... like in Saudi Arabia - but he says, "They pay,"

Like ???? Sure fuck all those brown people who gives a shit about Muslims (Not you, apparently) but this doesn't change the fact Americans (which you say you care for) are going to still go to war in the Middle East and now they'll be objectively less safe because of this fuckery.

And yes - they are coming for gay people - the case in the supreme court currently about your legal, religious, right to fire someone for being gay is infact coming for gay people.

And yeah, he's deporting people who have no reason to be deported - and jailing babies, and then adopting those babies out to organizations run by Betsy Devoss his department of Education secretary - Which is *shocker* listed as one of the forms of UN recognized genocide...

You're old enough that you should not be this easily on the side of our oppressors and our ancestors would be ashamed of people like you. How are you this stupid?

You mean like how Trump has names for everyone (or you calling someone a leftist)?  While I don't support calling other people names, it is safe to say that many/most of the Trump supporters are uninformed of the facts.  This does not make them stupid, but can lean towards ignorance on the context and substance of issues, unable to recognize facts when presented, and unable to look critically and without hypocrisy at actions and words by both sides of the isle.

Note that I'm speaking specifically of Trump supporters, not the Republican Party as a whole.  My observation of the GOP as a whole is that they are more concerned about their party than the rule of law.  Regarding the impeachment process unfolding infront of our eyes... no one from Trump's White House to the leaders in the GOP have presented any documents that would contradict the the allegations agianst Trump.  This is part of the critical review that is needed by the voters.

I honestly cannot stand Mr. Trump, but it seems the Democrats are hell bent on nominating a Marxist/Socialist, which I will never vote for, so I guess that my choice has been made for me.  I didn't vote for Trump in '16 (even though I am a life long Republican) but othr than Mr. Biden, it seems that the Democrats are going to force me to vote for Trump by nominating a nutjob like Warren or Sanders.  Its not what I wish, but I will never support a socialist.
