However the site is outdated, clunky, slow, and overly difficult to navigate around. I was just trying to change states to look around in and page changes take forever to load. Want to change your location? Dig deep to find the area to do so then have to know the zip code. On the mobile version you are stuck in your home location and the GPS position does not update. I come home from somewhere far away and my geolocation is forever stuck there until I manually update it. I could go on. Am I being overly picky here? I imagine the site hosts are operating on thin margins even without covid. To go on BBRTS is nostalgic online hookup journey to 2006 IMHO! Five years later and the criticisms are just as valid. The site looks and feels like it's stuck in the early 2000s. Beyond that my biggest complaint is their "oink" feature because that's the overwhelming majority of my messages. If all a guy wants to do is "oink" me, I don't bother replying. Quote
J-raw Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I have found the crowd on BBRT refreshing, but I do notice that the messaging is delayed and all the complaints here confirm my suspicions. What's the verdict on Nasty Kink Pigs site? Seems like Grindr is just full of vanilla folk. Quote
PozBearWI Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Indeed I am thinking maybe it's time to give Recon another shot. Quote
ellentonboy Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I haven't had any trouble logging in, but the site is stale, it needs some kind of updating. Yes the same long time members remain, and if you live in a rural area you will see the same cast of characters. My reason for staying active on BBRT is that I can occasionally catch a tourist who is visiting from out of town. As far as NKP is concerned, you'll find it has more of a "fetish" oriented membership, and that is not always a bad thing. The geo locator can be a bit "wonky":, that is a common complaint. If you live in the NYC area it is quite active, at least that has been my experience. I would say the majority of guys are poz or poz friendly, and most either use, or don't mind if you use, "enhancements". I have found Grindr to be expensive, overrated, and in many cases, full of judgmental individuals based on either your HIV status or lifestyles choices. What I find amusing is that some of those same guys still show up either on NKP or other free sites and their profiles are much more open minded. Go figure. If you are interested in guys of a different race, "Jack'd" is popular here. But read the profiles carefully, as some people spell out exactly what kind of guys they are looking for, and often it's done in a "not so friendly" manner. What I like about the free version is that you can find guys near-by, and the geo locator works well. Quote
