If you're still keen on going to Lab/Berghain, plan a trip outside of the big events, i.e, Folsom, BLF, Snax etc. It's worth it.

I don't think the change in the crowd is intentional, I'm seeing it everywhere on the fetish scene, especially with the increasing popularity of the pup/handler community. Younger non-fetish guys are venturing out to the bigger events for sex, which is fine, but 20 year-old twinks in pink plastic harnesses does nothing for me.

We've always avoided the tourist seasons of BLF and Folsom as the city is saturated with ultra competitive bottom guys, and I think a lot of the locals are put off by that. Much better to plan a more relaxed trip during normal times and experience Berlin with real Berliners. 

  

I have booked myself a ticket for the 'BiohazardMen' party this coming Friday at Under Tage in Berlin. Now I am wondering if I should skip it. As I am not white, and I am chub. I realise this is too late, but I'd go. You can host in your hotel anytime and most guys into raw fucking will be at biohazardmen anyway. Have a plan B - if it sucks, go somewhere else... there's tons of choice.

I was at BLF this year and all the stuff going on in Schöneberg was super fun, but I was one of the ones not allowed into SNAX bc of the not outfit kinky enough reason.

they did this across the line, I’d say about 75% of guys were not allowed inside and really rude doormen as well. They did not decide it based on looks as many gorgeous guys were given a blank no.

plan to visit on more relaxed normal weekends from now on, totally agree that it’s better fun and guys are less pretentious!

I am in my mid-40s and in my 30s I used to go almost every year. Last time in summer 2020, so I was already beyond 40. This topic is ever so fresh for all of us lucky enough to make it past the age of 50. So, here's my experience and tidbits of advice as a 100% vers, over 50 gay man:

- Wear and act your age. Dressing up like a 20 yo twink will not match your facial features and colour of your hair so while our hearts and inner desires may be stuck at 21, our physical appearance changes with time so wear your age with pride.

- When you get naked, have the confidence of your desires not that of your body appearance. Ageing is natural and so are the changes in body shape and fat distribution. Keeping fit is one way to attract a wider range of men. The more you're trying to hide certain features, the more it has the opposite effect.

- Keeping fit doesn't mean just muscles. It can be a toned body, it can be a nice, straight-up posture, etc. Spend some time every day taking care of yourself: a few situps, a 5 minute dance on your fave Backstreet Boys or the Pet Shop lads will do wonders to your physique at any age.

- Going to a sex- club means you're horny enough to want to have sex. So show it. If you're in Berlin at the Lab, Berghain, the Bull or any other fine establishments, don't just sit in a corner, feeling sorry for yourself, sipping from a glass of rose and yapping with your buddies. I've seen London going down the same way: With only two or three small-ish venues London has lost its appeal it once had in the late nineties and noughties. Now, although Berlin is still top, Barcelona and Madrid are rising fast as the place to be for uninhibited sex.

- And the last piece of my wisdom:-) Go easy, Go very easy on the drugs. Smoking a joint and sniffing on the poppers is probably enough. Any more than that, your sex vibe will be lost and there aren't too many tops turned on by a drunk and drugged 50+ unfit hole.
