Alternative to douching: Polari Labs "A-Ball" - What do you think?

A company called Polari Labs has a product in development called "A-Ball" that they style as "The first alternative to douching". Claiming "Takes 30 seconds. No Water needed. Made of body safe materials."

It's a gel ball that you insert in your hole and gets pushed up into the sigmoid flexure to block poop from heading any lower into the rectum. They have lots of information at their web page, including diagrams and dick length research, so I won't reproduce it here. I think the pricing I saw said they were thinking of £4 GBP which is about $5.35 USD each.

Here's the list of things I'm thinking of:

1. Do you need to lube your hole to get it in position?
2. Is it recommended to push the ball up into position with something, or is the design relying on the dick to fuck it up into position?
3. Will tops be weirded out pushing the ball up inside your ass?
4. What happens if there's poop residue in the rectum already?
5. Do you need to ensure the rectum is clean before you even insert the A-ball?
6. Do you need to clean the rectum after the A-ball is in position?
7. What effect will water have on the ball if you clean after?
8. Is using the A-ball predicated on having a high fibre diet to ensure the rectum stays as clean as possible?
9. Will the one size fits all ball work for all holes?
10. What about really well used and stretched holes and sigmoid flexures that are frequently breached, fisted, and bred?
11. What about the varying depth of rectums?
12. Will long dicks (longer than 6"-6.5" which is their design point) used to breaching the sigmoid for that second hole experience hit an unpleasant firm barrier?
13. Will long dicks that take the sigmoid flexure push the ball past the point it's effective and release poop into the rectum?
14. Effective time is 4-6 hours (softens and comes loose to be passed normally), so is this inherently only a short fuck solution?
15. For those who need the experience of a man's sperm staying inside them as long as possible, it sounds like this prevents it ever getting in any deeper than the rectum or staying inside you overnight.

My initial reactions are:

• It sounds pretty expensive for something that I don't know will give me peace of mind. Water is not expensive.
• Granted, time can be at a premium and spontaneity is something it's tough to finesse as a bottom.
• If I have to douche before or after insertion to ensure the rectum is clean, I don't think the value proposition is there.
• For those of us for whom earning a man's load and keeping it inside us is the goal, I don't know whether this ball makes any sense.
• For tops who prize deep hole fucking and second hole breeding, it sounds like this isn't at all desirable.

I'm interesting in hearing from other bottoms (who would be the market for this product) and tops on their thoughts.

As a Top, I wonder about thoroughness of the cleansing.  That's an issue for most Tops anyway, and an ineffective douching will clear out a fuckroom in verrrrrrry short order.  That said, occasionally a bottom simply can't get 100%, and that's understandable.  

Which leads to the next question;  if the bottom doesn't prep his hole, what's to prevent last night's dinner from sneaking out past the contrivance, and .... well .... 

For those Tops among us that are particularly "blessed", will the doo-dad interfere with the pleasure in some way?  Can it - for lack of a better word - come "loose"?  

I think it's an interesting idea, as long as there are plenty of tests and trials before the "marketing machine" gets cranked up.  Thanks for an interesting addition to the posts.

If they have competent marketing and social media people they'll have alerts on their company and product name and come across this post. 

I haven't seen a product forum, but the product is still under development so it's likely all Commercial in Confidence at this stage. I hope they have lots of queer folks in many countries road testing this product. I have a sneaking suspicion that how it performs will have a lot of variations across cultures and national boundaries.

It feels like my questions are pretty basic and lots of people will ask many of them. I found a rudimentary FAQ and it seems like they don't know many answers yet as there is a testing phase happening this year.

• It seems like the penis dimensions questions are in their testing matrix but no findings yet.
• You do need lube to insert it (so far they have only tested water based lube and Silicon lube tests are coming). 
• You need to insert it no more than 30 minutes before you play.
• The ball is supposed to be too small to trigger feeling like you need to poop.
• They have a one-size-fits-most model right now and will look at sized versions after testing.

I don't get the sense this is for long play sessions.

i've received 1000's of cocks in my life, and only once have i ever had an issue... and it was very minor.  To me, the best strategy is a healthy diet with lots of whole food fiber and a shower shot. i have a FB Who texts me several times a week and wants to breed with little notice (He's gotten better about that in the last year lol), but it often only takes me about five minutes to get very clean with a shower nozzle. i switched nozzles awhile back to one with holes on the side vs one on the tip, and that has made a really big difference using a shower douche. Read enough of other guys experiences, and it becomes clear that getting water past the sigmoid is the cause of a lot of issues, but even that with some understanding and practice can be eliminated as an issue with proper technique and post douche checks. 

To me, the A ball sounds like a rectal gerbil hospital visit waiting to happen. Especially if the bottom is taking random Cocks and cannot monitor size/length. It could get pushed up into the Sigmoid (aka "the second hole")  i suspect research has demonstrated that it will not harm the bottom, because of how it's made, it will likely eventually pass. But, anatomically, it would no longer be effective as a 'plug' once dislocated.  It will also inhibit penetration, and shorten the area that can be penetrated. Also could be a source of pain for the bottom because it's when the Top gets past the Sigmoid curve when 'second hole' penetration becomes .... amazing. This will be a sort of condom that will prevent deeper penetration and deeper breeding. As a bottom, i want my Tops seed past the sigmoid because i can absorb all of it there, the rectal breeding is not as effective,.

Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man set in my ways, but I don't find douching all that problematic. I tried one alternative, I can't remember who it was from - a premixed solution that was supposedly easier on the innards - but it didn't do a thorough enough job. At my age, I'm not really going out and cruising, so I don't mind setting up things in advance.

I think I'll pass for now, I think they need more research. I get it blocks it but if you have to go your going to push it out. 

I'll keep douching that way I know I am clean, I am happy to say after all these years I have not had one accident, if I am not confident of being clean I don't play.

I totally see the appeal. A proper thorough douche does take the time it takes.
