It hasn't actually reached SCOTUS. Over 7,000 cases are appealed to the Court each year. 98% are denied. Even if the court is looking for an excuse to overturn Obergefell, this would be a bad case. Davis is essentially claiming that same-sex marriage infringed on her constitutional rights and that the $300K damages verdict against her should be overturned (she's also asking that Obergefell be overturned). She's essentially claiming that her faith overrides her duty as a public official. If the Court was to rule in her favor, then conceivably a County clerk who was a Hindu could refuse to grant a business license to a burger restaurant. A devout Catholic could refuse to register a divorce decree and so forth. In addition, even if the Court said that she didn't have to grant the marriage licenses, the relief would be ordering an accommodation (which the Kentucky legislature has enacted), not overturning the entire ruling. Plus, in her case, she's now a private citizen so she is in no way impacted by Obergefell. It will be really difficult for a private individual to make a case that Obergefell has harmed them in some way that is unconstitutional and that the ONLY remedy for that harm is to overturn the decision
