Different strokes for different folks. What you think of as "disgusting" sex is perfectly consensual. One of the points of this site is to get people to understand the sexual choices they make. There have been quite a few threads here about the downsides of being poz. Yet it's a risk/reward decision and the people here have decided the risk is worth it for them personally. You need to accept that choice because you can't ask for other people to accept your choices you until you accept other people's choices. IMHO, you lack perspective. Barebacking is probably less dangerous than most "extreme sports" plus more routine things like bungee jumping, skydiving, or race car driving. Yet no one calls those "disgusting". In fact smoking kills something like 5 times more gay men than HIV/AIDS - where's your outrage for those things? Bottom line men are biologically wired to want sex. The VAST majority of long-term gay couples have open relationships. Even straight couples often aren't monogamous after 10+ years.

Which of the NYC parties have the most barebacking going on? My bf is out of town this weekend and I want to go out and have some fun, but not sure which are the best parties. A while back I went to one party that was labeled "raw interracial" and everyone wore condoms. I'd like to avoid that sort of stuff. I think your particular symptoms are deeper than just a Vitamin D deficiency, but Vitamin D might be exacerbating things. Get your doctor to test you for Vitamin D and make sure you get your levels back in line. In the meantime you can probably safely take some Vitamin D - 1000 mg / day of Vitamin D3 would be a good place to start. If you're going to go higher than that you really should talk to your doctor. BTW, oddly milk isn't all that great of a source of Vitamin D - at least not in the US. Here they fortify milk with a form of vitamin D that can't be easily absorbed by the body. What you want is Vitamin D3. I take one or two 1000 mg tablets every day and it has helped my mood significantly. Come summer make sure you get outdoors and get some sun. Getting (and maintaining) a light tan is actually a good thing since sun exposure gets your body to generate its own Vitamin D.

I think the issue is that there's rape and there's statutory rape. For the guys who enjoyed the experience it was only statutory rape. The problem is both are called "rape". In your case age had little to do with it. You could have been 23, not 13, and had the same reaction if you weren't prepared for sex and didn't feel in control of the situation.

Jim - Thanks so much for those clarifications. The fact that the ARVs are low-dose and not really absorbed too much sounds great. I'm not a big fan of "better living through chemistry", but microbicides sound like a form of PrEP I could support. As far as banner ads for recruitment, whatever people may think of this site, we have some of the highest risk people as members. Our members will therefore be some of the best test subjects since they take (willingly) on far more risk than the average guy.

Totally agree - there are sexually aggressive teens out there. I personally don't feel they're victims when they have sex with adults. But they're not common, and predators do exist, so it's still a good policy to restrict the point of view of men who seek out boys. -
