  1. Length is something I'll have my crawler/embedder consider when it picks videos to use on my sites.
  2. I'm a little baffled. Today several of the Treasure Island guys have mentioned the new short film "Chaser" in a positive light. Apparently Paul Morris even gave $500 towards getting it into film festivals. Thing is, the writer/director/producer sees bug chasing as a pathological problem that needs to be exposed and fixed. For starters the subtitle of the film is "Shame = Death". In other words he thinks most or all bug chasers do it out of shame. Here are his words on the issue... So he did the short film because bug chasing bothered/confused/dismayed him and he expected the traditional AIDS organizations to support his venture when those organizations have never been friendly to anything related to barebacking (despite the fact that many on their boards bareback in their personal lives). Mind you, he thinks he's being neutral on the issue... But the thing is his idea of neutral is to tell the story of someone who was a bug chaser because... Basically in his eyes bug chasers are to be pitied and if they just had some self worth they wouldn't engage in risky sex. The man doesn't have a clue. So why are all the TIM guys supporting him and the movie? I don't get it. Unless it's one of those things where the guy thought his film would be interpreted one way, but it actually tells a different story than he intended...
  3. Just the opposite for me - to a point. It feels best to me when there's plenty of lube - it comes closest to a cummy hole (which I LOVE).
  4. Polls are limited to 10 options and putting RF on the list didn't really help with what I'm trying to achieve. I might as well disclose where I'm coming from in asking the question... My goal is to build something that spiders the big tube sites and gets information on their videos. Then I'll programmatically choose the most promising videos and put them on my own tube sites. I'll have one tube site for bareback videos (in addition to Raunchy Fuckers) and another for all types of gay porn. Raunchy Fuckers will continue to exist. In fact, I need to do a lot more with it. If you've been looking at my blog you know I've been looking for an assistant. When that person finally starts, keeping Raunchy Fuckers updated will be on their list of things to do. I may actually use some of the content from this project on Raunchy Fuckers, but with Raunchy Fuckers the focus is quality more than quantity. The new tube sites will focus on quantity first and hopefully find some measure of quality in the process. I've been doing a lot of thinking about my business lately. My competitors fall into two camps. First are the ones like me that have always focused on building quality content (e.g. bloggers, etc.). Most of those people are having serious financial problems. Simply put, the effort it takes to put up a blog post barely covers the revenue it brings in unless you've got a really big blog with lots of traffic - and even the really big blogs aren't as big as they used to be. The few people who are still doing well with blogging tend to be incredibly social - which is one reason why I've been spending more time on Twitter and even a bit on Facebook and Google Plus. But at the end of the day few people who know me would say "being social" is an attribute they think of when they think of me - it's not my strength. The group that's competing with folks like me and doing really well are the big tube sites. They've focused on large scale operations with crazy amounts of content. Those are very streamlined, efficient businesses. In fact, given that user uploads are the core of the tube business, you could say that they have other people doing much of their work for them for free. Not to be crass, but Breeding Zone is a bit like that - you guys post and we just moderate. That's the kind of thing I need to be doing more of in order to survive and prosper financially. So, to that end a few months ago I built a gallery site with tens of thousands of pictures that updates on my own with almost no intervention on my part. Took me a long time to find a designer, but he's finally implementing a design this week. The site is http://www.hotmalepix.com - you'll see it looks half done - that's because it is. But the idea is to overwhelm the visitor with pictures and get them to tweet and tumbl what they like. So now I'm turning my attention to doing something similar with videos. The new tube sites that I'm working on won't host their own videos. For a long time I was scared of running sites like that because they were a legal gray area. It's the reason why Macho M. is a banned phrase on this site - because that's what he does. But recent court decisions, and actions by big companies like Google, and comments by people who know adult entertainment law have all led me to believe if I do things a certain way I can run sites like that and not have to worry about legal problems. And "a certain way" includes having the new sites as separate from sites like Raunchy Fuckers which have more editorial involvement, allow user uploads, and host their own videos. There are different rules for each type of site and as soon as you mix them you're fucked legally. As far as Bareback Bastards - that requires a login, so it's not a site I can spider.
  5. Just wondering which of the tube sites you like the best... When you wanna jack off and you think of tubes which ones do you go to? There's a reason why I'm asking the question - but it'll take me a couple months to develop what I'm thinking into something that's usable. If there are tube sites that aren't on the list, let me know which ones they are. And if you have particular thoughts on any of the tube sites I'd love to hear them. Thanks!
  6. I just came across some articles from December about the rate of increase in HIV infections from 2008 to 2010. I was a little shocked to hear that HIV infections among 13-24 year old gay men are up 22% over those two years. That sounds like the infections are going up exponentially. Young black guys are 55% of that group despite the fact that black men are nowhere near 55% of the population. Overall infections among gay men are up 12% - that's still double digits (though over two years). Here's the PDF from the CDC... http://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/newsroom/docs/2012/hiv-infections-2007-2010.pdf Some other interesting tidbits that they mentioned... So basically young gay guys (especially young black guys) underestimate the risk they're taking (or they're aware and don't care), and they don't get tested (possibly because they don't have access to healthcare), so they get infected and then spread it among the other young guys they have sex with. It's not that they're having more bareback sex than older guys, it's that the guys they're having bareback sex with don't know they're poz or don't care they're poz (and haven't gone on meds). And then as a greater percentage of the guys in their cohort become poz it means more and more risk. If access to good healthcare is a big issue then it's not likely that these young guys are going to be going on PrEP any time soon - so this is just going to continue. That data is 2+ years old. I suspect the trends have just continued and possibly gotten even more dramatic. However, infections among black women are down substantially. That part is definitely good news since they often get it from guys who are on "the DL" and not telling the women that they're bisexual and getting fucked raw by guys.
  7. Well, the data suggest (though they haven't proven it yet), that if taken daily PrEP can be 98% effective. So if it would have taken you 6 months to convert, now it will take you 50 times longer than that - 25 years. There may be a more permanent solution to HIV 25 years from now.
  8. Yes, it is a numbers game, but no, a few cases (like yours) do not disprove the general trend. I think the study showed that half of all gay guys bareback at least some of the time, but the percentage of gay men who are poz is far lower than that - around 25% in urban areas (that attract guys who are already poz by offering good healthcare, etc.)
  9. Actually that's not what I'm saying at all. Take the Maverick Men guys... They're on PrEP, they get tested regularly (and by regularly I mean ALL the time). Everyone they fuck bareback is tested regularly and they encourage the guys they fuck bareback to go on PrEP (they're actually thinking of mandating that everyone who fucks with them is on PrEP). If the person won't get tested or is poz they just refuse to fuck with them. Now they are in a unique position where because of their site they've got more than enough guys who are willing to put up with all that. And things like HIV tests for everyone who walks through the door is just "a production cost" - though I suspect they probably send them off for a complete battery of STD tests - not just the 20 minute home test. In real life I think there are a lot of people who minimize their risk by just not having much sex. Something like 1/4 or 1/3rd of the guys in the big study on PrEP didn't have sex for like 3 months. And that's probably after they got screened to make sure they're having sex. So guys have crappy, limited sex lives and then they talk the issue of HIV status to death before actually fucking with someone and in the process they drastically reduce their risk. My bf is sorta in that group. He has very few sexual partners and he really gets to know the guys he fucks. I think guys like that probably will stay neg in most cases - whether it's lots of sex with a crazy number of layers of protection, or really limiting sexual partners to a few trusted guys. Neither of those is zero risk, but it's close enough that guys like that tend to stay neg.
  10. There is a group I call "the worried well" (a phrase that had rather different implications during the AIDS crisis). The Maverick Men guys are part of the worried well. They use layer after layer of risk reduction - which I suppose isn't a crime in and of itself, but they're so manic about it I think it's psychologically unhealthy. And then on top of everything else they're rather judgmental of anyone who doesn't think the same way they do with IMHO is the really irritating part.
  11. How much does the ceiling height change things? I've got an area in my cellar I'd love to install a sling - there's a cool arched brick ceiling right in that area, but at it's highest point it's probably less than 7 feet high and then it slopes down from there. I've also wondered if the sloping would be a problem since the chains would be different lengths and it wouldn't swing quite uniformly...
  12. I often hookup in the middle of the day or early evening. If I know someone is coming from work I always ask if they'll be able to clean out first. If they can't clean out before coming over I'll often pass and hookup another time when they are able to clean out. While sometimes I can push past the odor, etc. I really don't like shit on my dick.
  13. Breeding Zone was born 3 years ago. It's been a good ride so far as you can see in the graph below traffic to the site continues to grow and nearly 1.5 million people have visited the site over that time... (Click to see a bigger version of the graph). It's not just about how many people visit the site. More important than visitors is people participating. On that front it's great that the day with the most logged in users ever happened in the last week - 1404 in one day. There are now nearly 24,000 members but that's a bit of a fake number since a lot people aren't active. Still, nearly 4,700 have logged in at some time in the past month which is pretty decent. So a big thanks to all of you who've made this site a success. Please remember to tell your fuck buddies about it so we can grow even more. And if you wanna give a gift in honor of Breeding Zone's birthday - find a neg bottom and give it to him
  14. IRMA just tweeted an article I find pretty interesting... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/10022664/Scientists-on-brink-of-HIV-cure.html Even when you're undetectable HIV likes to hide out in certain parts of your body - meaning ARVs can never get rid of all the HIV in your body. Well, scientists in Denmark think they've figured out how to release the HIV from those hiding places so it circulates more generally in your body at which point it can be killed off. Unlike a drug trial the results of this study won't take years to figure out. They could know the results pretty soon. If nothing else, this is why governments need to fund scientific research. Drug companies are focused on treatments they can sell and make a profit on. The Danish government has invested $2.1 million in this research so far. I see two questions here... First, are they just being optimistic or is there really a chance, after all these years, that we're going to see a cure of HIV/AIDS? It almost seems unreal and so many scientists before them have been optimistic about other approaches and failed. Second question... This isn't a vaccine - so people will still get HIV. In fact someone could be cured and then get it again. So how will this affect behavior? Will this replace ARVs? Will guys get into a cycle of getting HIV and clearing it like they do with other STDs?
  15. You may not think it's the start of not caring about the kinds of loads you take, but you just took a big step - from neg loads to undetectable poz loads. I've seen this happen over and over again. One day you'll realize you really don't know what sort of loads you're taking - you're just taking guys at their word. And then the next step after that is you realize you're rewarding guys who lie about their status and tell you want you want to hear and you're punishing the guys who are honest. And at that point you'll realize since you don't really know the status of the guys fucking you, you might as well let just about anyone fuck you. That feeling you have - how you love taking those loads - it's only going to grow. It's a one-way street. Just accept it and let fate take it's course.
  16. Why would you want to turn off Javascript? A lot of things will stop working on most sites when you do that. It's a bit like banging your head against a wall and complaining about the pain. Just stop banging your head against the wall...
  17. Echoing what others have said... I've organized a fair number of gangbangs. A few bottoms have lied and said they get fucked regularly when they don't - it never goes well with them. You gotta build up to a gangbang or else your fantasy will go badly and you'll piss off the tops. A better idea is to go to a bathhouse and lay ass up on the bed and let guys fuck you. Clean out REALLY well before going and then plan on spending as much time as you can at the bathhouse - 8 to 12 hours if possible. See how much cock you can take during that time. You'll learn a lot about your ability to bottom and if you have to tell a top to stop they won't be upset since they can move on to another bottom.
  18. Too bad you're not in NYC. I have a wonderful colorectal surgeon.
  19. A year or two ago I had someone offer to pay my way to IML (in return for some sexual services, I'm sure). I forget why, but I couldn't/didn't take the guy up on his offer. Anyway, with no spare cash for trips this year, it doesn't look like I'm going unless I get an offer like last time.
  20. You're assuming something that is just flat out false - that condoms = safe sex. Condoms are only effective 90 to 95% of the time. That means 10 to 20 fucks with a condom is the same as 1 raw fuck. Over time that adds up. Let's say your friend is 40 and has been sexually active for 20 years getting fucked by one guy a week during that time. So that's roughly 50 fucks a year times 20 years = 1000 fucks. That's the equivalent of 50 to 100 raw fucks. So don't assume the worst - that someone stealthed him. It's not necessarily someone's fault. People can do everything right and still become poz. The worst thing your friend can do right now is try to find fault and blame someone. He needs to come to peace with his new status. There are many many poz guys who are living very healthy, productive lives. His "rough road" is all in his mind. It's within his power to change his situation by simply accepting his situation and moving on.
  21. I thought it was the other way around...
  22. There are weekly poz parties at The Ritz (2nd floor). They're currently on Fridays, but they'll be moving to another night in the near future. I went once a few years ago. Poz-friendly neg guys are welcome. Contact Josh pozalliance@gmail.com for more info. Let me know I referred you.
  23. Sounds like it should be in the hetero bug chasing section. If you put it in the regular hetero section contact HungLatinDom and he'll move it for you. Just give him the URL and explain what happened.
  24. Yeah, they're probably just trying to show that the flu shots they gave out went to the people who most needed them. It may help them get flu shots in the future when there's a shortage. If they can say 90% of the ones we give out go to the highest risk groups then it strengthens their position. [but just guessing with all that.]
  25. I've got pretty broad tastes. Yeah, my favorite type is young, thin and Latino, but I have sex with all sorts of guys. You're on my buddy list on BBRT. I think we've exchanged messages in the past couple weeks if my memory serves me correctly. And yeah, this is my site.
