    Thanks so much for posting this. I've been curious about microbicides as a form of HIV prevention... A few questions... That's a bit of a bummer since I was hoping microbicides would be an alternative to ARVs. How much of the ARV gets absorbed into the body? Do you know or is there a theory on it? To what degree are microbicides like taking ARVs? Or is the idea to put ARVs at the point of infection only and not have them circulating in the body generally? Is there a risk the person will become resistant to the ARV? Irregular use of ARVs has led to meds-resistance in the past - just wondering if this is a concern - or is this one of the questions they're looking at with the current trials? Can you qualify that statement a bit? Is it a matter that there have been few if any Phase 3 trials? Or have there been trials that have failed? I think I heard of one vaginal trial that failed. Have there been any Phase 3 trials for anal microbicides? I guess what I'm getting at is there's a big difference between not proving efficacy yet and trying and having failed. Which of those better describes where thing stand? If you would like banner ad space on this site to recruit volunteers when the trial starts, just let me know.     A researcher in Australia has figured out how to modify HIV viruses so they don't lead to AIDS. I wonder if you were infected by someone with the modified virus whether your virus would be modified as well. In that case bug chasing the modified virus would make a lot of sense - it might be able to protect you from the deadly form of HIV. But best yet it will mean poz guys can go off meds.

    I've met MANY MANY poz guys who had 'neg' in their profiles for the simple reason that they're not out about being poz. It's a bigger problem on sites with a mixed bb/condom crowd like A4A or Manhunt. I can't tell you how many "neg, safe sex only" bottoms I've blown my load inside of. But it's even an issue on sites like BBRT. The problem is worse in some cities like Washington D.C. where people have jobs that require them to maintain a certain level of "respectability".

Naturally smooth Naturally just a little hair Trimmed (e.g. with a beard trimmer) Hairy Shaved #1 I LOVE. #2 & 3 I like. #4 (hairy) I'm fine with (it can be hard to keep hairy clean). But #5 (shaved) I sorta hate. Stubble is pretty awful. So my recommendation is never shave. Just use something like a beard trimmer to trim the hairs shorter if you want a cleaner look. If you absolutely must shave any part of your body other than your beard, use what's called a "safety razor" - they're what hospitals use and you do not use shaving cream with them. They make it impossible to nick yourself.

    Ever since Giuliani started enforcing the rules for bathhouses I've always written NYC bathhouses off as a bad idea. Seems private parties have been better. But then again I haven't been to bathhouses. I went to East Side Club maybe once a couple of years ago, but didn't get much action since there weren't many guys there. Have any of you been going to the bathhouses in NYC? Are any of them any good? If so, what times of the day? As far as I know there's East Side Club (mostly bears and older guys). West Side Club (what's the crowd there like these days?), and one in Flushing which a fuck buddy told me was pretty good - probably 'cause it's out of the way and off the DOH radar. Anyway, any info on the current state of the NYC bathhouses would be appreciated...

    I had sex with a convicted sex offender many years ago. He was a really nice guy. Basically this 16(?) year old was helping him paint his house, and one thing led to another and he offered the guy a few bucks to suck his dick. Mind you, that's completely wrong, but it wasn't the sex that was traumatizing to the kid - the kid was OK with what happened. Problem was the mother found out and was like a bulldog and forced the kid to testify against the guy I knew. So he got convicted for statutory rape AND solicitation of a minor. Anyway, he was the organist at my church and we got to know each other and one thing led to another and we had sex and then he opened up to me about his past. And then there was one cute twink I fucked once or twice who was an active drug dealer (actually, there have been several of that type). Often really nice guys. My point is - you never know who's been a criminal and who hasn't. Some of them are really nice guys who just did something incredibly stupid and got caught. I don't see a problem being friends and having sex with folks like that - just don't be involved in the criminal activity.

    NYC has LOTS of Domincans. I think I heard somewhere that there are more Dominicans in NYC than in the Dominican Republic. When I first moved to NYC I used to think Dominicans were really attractive black guys - then I heard them speaking Spanish and figured it out. Puerto Ricans have largely moved to the suburbs - so some, but not as many as you'd might expect if your view of NYC is shaped by Westside Story. There are lots of Mexicans here, but they don't tend to be gay - at least not part of the gay scene. They do dominate restaurant workers and construction workers though. Then there's the smattering of Central Americans and Brazilians that are all over the City. Cubans are more of a South Florida thing. There are a few, but not that many. I like NYC a lot in part because of all the different cultures here. Makes my sex life more interesting...

    Just to be clear, I don't use 3rd party code to serve my banner ads. You know how sometimes you visit a widgets site and then later you see ads for widgets? That's because the widget site had code on it to tell an ad network that you were interested in widgets. Then another site uses the same ad network so the ad network can run "targeted" ads. I don't do that. The only ad targeting I do is if you view a Raw Fuck Club video, you'll see Raw Fuck Club ads. Or if you view a porn blog page dedicated to black guys, you'll see more ads for sites with black guys. About the most I do is work with sponsors to send email blasts with special offers. But it's with the agreement that they don't retain my email mailing list. I'm getting pickier in that respect - I may only have my best friend (who runs sites like Raw Fuck Club, Raw & Rough and Black Breeders) send out the email blasts. I trust him way more than I trust some of the other folks in this business. Bottom line, I get that you don't want third parties who may not be bareback friendly to know you were here. And you don't want anything from here to affect your web surfing on other sites. Now what may happen is if you click a link here and visit an insurance company, then you may see insurance ads on other sites. But #1 - if you're shopping for insurance that may happen anyway. And #2 you probably don't care if your boss knows your shopping for insurance.

    As you may have noticed, fewer and fewer people are paying for porn these days. Since this site (and my other sites) are supported by revenue from the sales of porn, margins are slowly getting tighter and tighter... So, how would you guys feel if there were ads on this site for things other than porn? For example insurance, travel, or those electronic cigarettes, or clothing, etc. Right now the porn ads give a good focus to the site. They keep you guys thinking about sex. Would the other ads be too much of a distraction? What if they were only on the bottom of the page, or not too big - so they didn't become dominant on the page? Let me know your thoughts... I'm thinking of trying out some new ads in the not-too-distant future.

    "I like Latinos" typically means olive skin, black hair, etc. It typically doesn't mean "white latinos" or "black latinos". In other words it's the 70% middle ground - not the edges. In my case Latinos are my favorite group (speaking in general terms). I like that they tend to be shorter than me. I like the typical skintone. I like how smooth they tend to be.
