Whilst I'm on the topic of Legislation in the UK; there's a "Bill" going through Parliament at the moment. It's called the "Data (Use and Access) Bill." It is 268 of dense legalese, and in the way of legislators, loads of extra things have been added. One of those is a section about Digital Verification Services. It is a precursor of UK citizens having a verified digital Identity for Internet Access. A Bill is a precursor to an Act in UK Legislation. Breeding.zone is seeing the effects of the "Online Safety Act 2023"; (351 pages). I just wonder if they could open up to UK folk who have a verified Digital Identity (and age).

It seems the more the legislators try to wrap cotton wool around everyone, the more that freedoms are reduced while the incidents of crimes increase as more things become criminal. Whilst kids should be protected from paedophiles, a lot more can be done by parents by the combined use of communicating with their kids, supplemented by barrier software such as NetNanny to keep the innocent away from bad sites. As a kid back in the 1950s most families had an Uncle Ernie that the kids were warned about. However we still had access to "Health and Efficiency" magazines, courtesy of older brothers. In the 1970s I ran a scout troop, and those kids were street wise. They knew what behaviour was inappropriate, and the older boys looked out for the younger boys, they kept them away from risky areas. Part of the problem with the internet is that the parents are woefully ignorant of the risks and have not educated their kids to cope with the risks. They abrogate that responsibility to the State.

This type of knee jerk reaction from the legislators will just drive more folk to taste the onion of the Dark Web where controls are non-existent. BZ is a bit like an adult club in neighbourhood. Tolerated by authorities, but still subject to safety rules, such as building fire regulations. Going "prohibition" will just create criminal activities.

I used to have a paid subscription with BBRTS until they started messing around with VPN blocks. Their choice, mine also. I no longer pay as its scope of candidates is poor nowadays. -

In a grotty council flat (Project Apartment?) I'd arranged the meet on a gaydar app and followed the directions given. On the third floor with a broken door, boarded window. There were three youths about 14 y/o hanging around in the corridor outside who made it obvious they knew why I was there. Just as bad inside with syringes, druggie baggies strewn around. I had my first overtly sexual encounter when I was 10. We lived in the countryside and had farmers' kids as friends. So the process of sex between animals was no surprise. I was fishing in the local brook about a mile from the village when the local paedophile turned up and wanted to chat. All of us local kids knew about him and what might happen. Sure enough soon after him arriving his hand was up the leg of my shorts. I enjoyed the physical feelings but nothing much more happened on that day. I was a nasty youngster and as a result actually blackmailed him for money. A small amount, but I didn't know he was unemployed and that even small change was a problem for him. After that he kept away from me and I still feel guilty about how I treated him. Then when I was 12, we had a lodger living in our large family home. He was a "batchelor" aged about 45. He encouraged me to go fishing with him at a local exclusive fishing lake and I agreed. I had a pretty good idea about the type of eels that he was interested in with me. So we made arrangements to travel the 10 miles on his motorbike with me as the pillion passenger to this lake. I was looking forward to letting him have full access. Sadly, along the way he chickened out and made a feeble excuse before turning us homeward. What I didn't discover until many years later was that he was regularly shagging one of my older (15 years) brothers at the time. Apart from those incidents, I didn't start my full sex life until I was 20.
