Yes, that's right. PrEP cannot prevent HIV infection if the HIV isn't there in the first place....so the answer to your question is, yes. In effect it makes you "immune". But ONLY while you are taking it. I would say yes. PrEP is an HIV prevention drug. This means it's job is to prevent infection when the body comes into contact with the virus. For it to do it's actual job, you would need to come into contact with the virus and have the virus enter you...but for you to not become infected and subsequently seroconvert.
