  1. Like iosam, I too don't know much about prostate cancer. But I do know it's possible that, for whatever reason, you won't get many responses here. If I read the medical journal articles correctly, the medical establishment is just figuring out that during and after treatment, gay men might have quality of life issues that are different than those of straight men. It looks as if these two websites might provide the information and insight you're looking for:  [think before following links] https://healthunlocked.com/prostate-cancer-gay-men [think before following links] https://dansjourney.com/resources/gay-men-and-prostate-cancer/. There's also clinical guidance about anal sex after treatments: [think before following links] https://www.news-medical.net/news/20190610/Worlds-first-clinical-guidance-on-anal-sex-after-prostate-cancer-treatments.aspx.

I hope that this is of some help, especially on those nights when you're wide awake at 3 am thinking about this. Good luck....

I am looking to purchase some gay erotic books and would appreciate suggestions from you dirty fuckers on authors or titles that you’ve read and got off on.  There are so many good authors on BZ that I’ve enjoyed getting naked and edging to for hours while I read but I’ve read almost everything on this site and need more. Suggestions that will keep my cock dripping and my ass hungry.

I had to blow the dust off my copies, but you might want to give these a look:

    Hard: Erotic Fiction

    Man on Man

    Hotter than Hell

    Men for All Seasons

Up All Hours: Scorching Tales of Sex Around the Clock

I don’t know the status of butyl/isobutyl nitrite in Australia

Effective February 2020, Australia reclassified the substances: amyl nitrite can be obtained, without a prescription, from a pharmacist; isopropyl nitrite was banned; and butyl nitrite, isobutyl nitrite, and other alkyl nitrites were available on prescription only. [think before following links] https://www.gaystarnews.com/article/australia-decides-not-to-ban-poppers/ [think before following links] https://qnews.com.au/therapeutic-goods-administration-decides-against-banning-poppers/ [think before following links] https://qnews.com.au/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-law-changes-around-poppers/

There are very few clinical studies, if any, done regarding popper use, just like there are very few clinical studies done for inhaling paint fumes or swallowing lye soap.

As for consistency of formula and regulations, etc.: it's one step above bathtub gin and outhouse crystal meth. There's nothing to stop Big Popper Co. Inc. from sending out a thousand bottles of "X brand video head cleaner" (because of course there are still so many video cassette players in service) that contain nothing but turpentine. Or diluted Lysol concentrate. Or whatever else they might have on hand. Do they? Probably not. Are you willing to risk snorting something based on trusting the company not to have screwed up some formula?

Two years ago, the Australian Dept. of Health analyzed samples of poppers available for purchase both within the country and from overseas. Eight samples of poppers, labelled as "leather cleaner," were purchased from local adult stores. All of the products represented in the labelling that they contained "alkyl nitrite." Isobutyl nitrite was identified as the single major ingredient in all of the products. Ten samples were obtained from overseas retailers. Five samples contained isopropyl nitrite, and the other five contained isoamyl nitrite (aka isopentyl nitrite). Eight of the ten contained the type of nitrite claimed on the label. The other two, stating the ingredient was pentyl nitrite, actually contained isopentyl nitrite.

Why does any of this matter? tj87's doctor could tell us.

Poppers in the UK are butyl nitrite these days I believe, which has the same vasodilating effect of amyl nitrite without the depressant effects. Amyls were before my time and I never really got the "high" from poppers. They've always been a utility drug for me to help open my ass up.

My superb sexual health clinic in Clapham Junction always ask about my eyesight when i go for a routine check up. They know I use poppers and they know about a link between poppers and vision loss - the NHS released a study ten years ago that points to a correlation).

Isobutyl nitrite was designated as a cancer causing agent in 2006 in the UK, and isopropyl nitrite replaced it as the active ingredient. After isopropyl nitrite became the most commonly used compound in poppers, doctors in the UK and in France were seeing patients who had used poppers and now had impaired vision. There wasn't anything like a "smoking gun," but the patients' medical histories and use of poppers suggested that isopropyl nitrite affected the retina in a way that isobutyl nitrite did not.

The medical journals and the Australian Dept. of Health summary report are attached.

Any doctor who gave a patient crystal meth anally while doing a fake "rectal exam" should lose his license. Fuck no. The idea of encouraging and eroticizing sexual predators is pathetic.

If the doctor only lost his license, he'd be the luckiest SOB on the planet. In the real world, not the fantasy world some of us inhabit, the doctor would be looking at a prison sentence of substantial length.

  6. Back in my younger and wilder days, I would occasionally tell a close friend that I had hooked up with X. If my experience with X had been unsettling, I would definitely mention it to my friend. Otherwise, I kept my own counsel about who I had played with on a weekend. Over time, it became known that I didn't disclose who I had been with, and I ended up meeting guys I wouldn't have expected to meet.

Those of us who have fucked or been fucked on an old used, stained mattress in an abandoned building probably wouldn't' notice.  However, strong foul odors; for example, a rotting corpse with swarming flies, might be a deal breaker.

I'm instantly thinking of "Tales from the Crypt." There'll be a couple of nightmares in my sleep.

  8. If the smell can get past my congested sinuses, I’m turning around and going home. My other criterion for leaving — do I think I’ll have to shake my shoes out when I get home? Alternatively phrased, should I run my gym bag through the dryer on the “incinerate” setting?

Others have already posted topics asking this exact question and been well advised. I recommend you do a search or read back through the threads as the quickest way to find your answer. Lots of us could give you advice on this, but have gotten tired of repeating ourselves for every new bottom asking for the easiest way to get fucked.

You're not the only one discouraged by the inability of the smartphone generation to type a question into the search box located in the upper right corner of apparently every page on this site. (And the search engine rawTOP uses is really good so there's no excuse not to use the search function.)

If you can't pull that off, then I'd at least set up a meeting where you and HR have a talk with him - if he indeed gets the promotion - where you discuss the operational (and reputational) risk of the company getting sued over discriminatory practices, sexual harassment or creating a hostile work environment.

^ ^ ^ ^ This. Back in my working days, the HR person and I would have this type of chat with every new hire. That enabled me to jump on violators with both feet.

[You] can also get to it from the outside if you push a finger at the base of the cock, underside (top of the taint). You feel the urethra first, but right behind the urrethra at that point is the prostate. There's sort of art form to learning it, not to hard, not too soft, watch they guys expression lol, it will speak volumes.  See in the pic how even if you go in through the ass, you are not actually touching the prostate?  Pressure can be exerted on the prostate from all sorts of directions ;-).

If anyone is trying the same move described by Read1 in his 8 May post, here's a more detailed description -- with pictures!!

  12. I'm relieved to learn that I'm not the only one who's had difficulty. About 10 days or 2 weeks ago, pages began to load slowly and invariably, the request timed out. It's not just moving to the next page in the topic thread or to the next topic in the forum; it also happens when I try to post a comment in response to a post. If I'm using Safari (version 14.1) (I'm on mac OS 11.3.1 [Big Sur]), about half the time, I can get the page to load by hitting "reload page." If I'm using Chrome (version 90.0.4430.93), the request will time out, but Chrome loads the page about 3 seconds later. I've cleared the cache on Safari a couple of times, but that didn't improve the situation (I regularly clear the cache on Chrome). The problem also occurs when I use my iPad (6th generation; iPad OS 14.5.1).

I doubt it's my ISP (Charter, if anyone was idly wondering); I use Cloudflare WARP (and have since they hooked up with Mozilla to offer secure DNS traffic) to keep nosy parkers out of the DNS logs. I've noticed that the problem seems to be worse midday, say from 11 am to 3 or 4 pm. Needless to say, I don't have the problem with any other websites. Thanks in advance for anything you can do about this. More generally, thanks for everything you've done and do to keep BZ running.
