  1. I’m not sure Lisbon has the same kind of gay scene that some of the Spanish cities do- it’s not that great for cruise bars and that kind of thing. However, it’s very much ‘on trend’ right now, and it’s certainly a beautiful and very interesting city, which all sorts of other stuff going on!
  2. If Spain is an option for you, perhaps you should consider Malaga and the surrounding area. It’s a popular retirement destination for people from all over Europe, largely because of the great climate. Some of the 20th century development along the Costa del Sol has not been particularly ‘sympathetic’, but there are still some lovely areas and Malaga itself is a great city. Plus, it’s only a 20 minute train ride from Torremolinos, which is one of Spain’s gay hotspots, full of bars, clubs and beautiful men!
  3. Yes, this often happens to me. I tend to go through periods where I binge on sex, often on some kind of trip or sexcation, where I can devote myself 100 percent to the task in hand. But afterwards I usually lose all interest for a while, and take that opportunity to get tested, treated and all that crap. I actually quite enjoy my breaks from sex: they allow me to get on with other things in life, and re-connect with myself in different ways. But slowly and surely, the urge to play comes back just as strong as before, and I begin the cycle all over again.
  4. One of the reasons could simply be that you have more options when it comes to cruise bars in Amsterdam, and a much smaller population. Although London has a number of regular events/parties at locations dotted about the city, it only has two real cruise bars (or maybe if you include the Underground club), and a population of 9 million. Therefore it’s not surprising that there’s a queue outside the Vault on Thursday night. I don’t know Amsterdam, but it sounds like you have a lot more choices, and a population of less than 1 million. It may be that the crowd is spread just too thin. Too many options isn’t always a good thing: sometimes I think that even Gran Canaria outside peak times has too many bars- there may only be 10-20 guys in each one, whereas if there were fewer bars, guys would be forced to bunch together, and the bars that remained would be packed.
  5. There are parties/events worldwide dedicated to just this: check out Fickstutenmarkt in Berlin and other German cities, also known as ‘Horsefair’ in London and other English-speaking countries.
  6. I’m more familiar with Thursdays, but I imagine Mondays are similar. It opens at 1:00pm, but the afternoon is always a regular ‘cruise’ session (ie: clothed). Guys start stripping at around 6:00/6:30pm, and by 7:00pm you must be naked. It’s usually pretty busy by then peaking between 8:00 and 10:00, after which it starts to get quieter (it is a school night, after all). Yeah, I believe Sweatbox re-opens this Saturday. Don’t forget, you can always get free re-entry to the Vault: just make sure they give you a stamp on your way out.
  7. It won’t be packed out on a Monday, but that can be a good thing- on Thursday nights it’s so busy there’s barely room to move around. Mondays are quieter, but there should still be a reasonable number of guys. Total mix of men, all ages, shapes and sizes. Most aged probably between 30 and 45, with a few younger and some older. The best thing about naked night is that guys are usually up for it, but there’s no pressure to play if you just want to watch on your first time.
  8. Yes- as long as you’re comfortable stripping off, you should definitely put the Vault on your list for Monday night. And if you’d rather stay clothed, you should put it on your list for Tuesday night- though it won’t be as busy or as much fun…
  9. I just got back, unfortunately- and will post a full ‘report’ at some point… but in the mean time, I would advise you not to miss Sunday afternoon at the sauna! Depending on where you are staying, it’s a little bit out of the way, but definitely worth the 30-minute walk from the centre of town!
  10. I get a similar reaction from guys in clubs when I turn down a top because he starts unwrapping a condom. I’m always pretty nice about it and just say it’s not going to work for me, and although some guys accept that with grace, others get distinctly pissy and walk off in a huff, and then go on to make a point of deliberately ignoring me the rest of the night. The assumption seems to be that I should be the one who makes the compromise, presumably because fucking bare is perceived as the “riskier” option. Something along the lines of, “Well, you fuck raw, so of course you’ll take it with a condom, right?”. Wrong.
  11. Why is the queue for this party so horrendous? I was at the PIG party during Folsom where they managed to get thousands of guys through the door with very little queueing at all- a great example of German efficiency! I don’t understand why Snax can’t do the same… Is it the idea that, “Oh, it’s really hard to get in- therefore it must be really good!”? Tbh, it puts me off ever going- I don’t care how good a party is, I’m not queueing for 3 to 5 hours, potentially in the rain, and risking being turned away at the door because the doorman doesn’t like the shoes I’m wearing!
  12. Yep- totally agree. That’s why we exist- it’s what we are for!
  13. I often like to think that there are just enough of us to go round. If we lived in a society where all men were open to their sexual urges and not subject to societal pressure to repress them, then there would be just enough cocksuckers/cumdumps to satisfy their carnal lusts- a natural balance in the order of things. As it is, only a small percentage of men truly embrace their sexual selves, so it often seems like there’s a surplus of cocksuckers/cumdumps all competing for a limited pool of cock. Oh, if only men would truly open up- we’d be in such demand!
  14. Could it be something to do with cost? I can’t recall exactly how much it was, but when I saw the price of a ticket for the SF Horesemarket event, I remember thinking it seemed very expensive. The cost of entry to many events and/or sex venues in Berlin and Spain is rather low: €10-15 maybe, and that might get you a free drink (or even two if it’s happy hour)…
  15. It’s largely dance-oriented, but it does have a large and thriving darkroom once it gets going.
  16. Well, Suella has at most 1 year left in office- and for the record, there are plenty of right-wing politicians in other European countries … not sure why the UK always seems to get a special mention in that regard. Is there still some residual resentment over Brexit at play here? But let’s try to keep politics out of this thread. It’s certainly true that the London scene is not what it once was: a toxic combination of runaway property prices and the ubiquitous apps have taken their toll. I’m hoping things have turned a corner: a number of new party night such as “Roast” have cropped up in the last couple of years, and these seem to be appealing to a younger crowd. Where there’s youth, there’s hope…
  17. I‘m heading to Torremolinos for 4 nights next week just to see what it’s like- I haven’t got great expectations as it’s out of season. But it’s stupidly cheap and it seems that most of the bars and clubs are still open, so I’m hoping to get something at least. Who knows? I might be the only bottom in a sea of horny tops on a day trip from Malaga… one can but dream 😂
  18. I was in a monogamous relationship for the best part of 25 years, so didn’t embrace my cumdump self until my late 40’s. I’ve been trying to make up for all those lost years ever since, and haven’t noticed my sex drive tailing off so far. In some ways I hope it does- there are other things in life I’d like to devote a little more time to. But while guys still find me fuckable, I’m going to continue taking as much cock as I can.
  19. Another advantage of Berlin is that it tends to be cheaper than a lot of European capitals/cities… you get more bang for your buck, quite literally!
  20. Berlin. Don’t bother with London- it’s okay if you live there, but sex-wise it’s not worth the trip if you live outside the UK. Haven’t been to Barcelona, but I imagine that is pretty good too.
  21. Sounds like you are quite a fan, @rawfuckr! It’s nice to hear some positive feedback about Torrie- I tend to have a soft spot for underrated, unfashionable places (I used to live in New Jersey ffs), and having just read your post about the decline of Sitges, maybe Torrie’s time has finally come! How would you rate it compared with GC?
  22. Thanks for your detailed reply, @rawfuckr- details are what it’s all about! To what extent do things shut down for the winter? From their websites, it seems like a lot of bars stay open, but reduce their hours or only open at weekends. If I go, it would probably be the first weekend in November: last year they were promoting a ‘winter pride’ event on that weekend, but there’s no mention of it this year…
  23. Given the choice between a bathhouse and a cruise bar/club, I’ll almost always choose the latter. I’m not sure why, I just prefer the vibe. I often find bathhouses somewhat depressing, and guys generally seem pickier, and less up for play- and certainly less up for group play. All that disappearing into private cubicles… it seems somehow exclusionary. Perhaps in the past that was one of the strengths of bathhouses: they offered a private place to meet and play. Whereas now, guys who want a private encounter just use the apps to meet and then do the deed itself at home- no need for the bathhouse. On the other hand cruise bars and clubs offer little in the way of privacy and are much more aligned with those who enjoy group play or multiple partners in quick succession. Perhaps that’s why they are surviving and even thriving while bathhouses are not. The apps are generally not going to enable you to fuck or get fucked by 30 guys in the space of a couple of hours, whereas cruise bars and clubs give you that opportunity. Presumably they are also cheaper and easier to run, and therefore a lot more profitable. It says a lot that somewhere like Maspalomas has dozens of bars and clubs, but not one single bathhouse. Even in Berlin, it’s all about the bars these days.
  24. Haha- we’ll, as a pasty European myself, I’ll try not to take offence 😂 But to be fair, the same could be said for Maspalomas, which is similarly ‘unscenic’ and full of European tourists of all sorts. Doesn’t stop it being a great gay hotspot, though! Torrie has always had an image problem, and asking around, I’m getting mixed reports. I’m intrigued, and think I might just have to go there and find out for myself. Not much to lose: flights and 3 nights accom for about £200… what could possibly go wrong?
