  1. Docklands Light Railway in London. Broad daylight. Between stations. With the train guard. I can’t beat a mate of mine, though, who managed it behind a mummy case in the Egyptian Room of the British Museum…
  2. I’ve not been since lockdown ended. But I always enjoyed it.
  3. Offhand, I think that’s one of the best and most thoughtful posts (with a lovely thread of dry humour) that I’ve read in a long time.
  4. My grandmother had a scathing saying about Catholicism. “Confess on Friday. Repent on Sunday. At it again Monday.”
  5. I’ve met one or two here in the UK. One of them is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met online from any site, and we text often (I’m sure he’ll know who he is…😉).
  6. That’s a very interesting viewpoint. You’re absolutely correct that not everyone is everyone’s cup of tea. But, for me, that’s down to personality more than anything else.
  7. It’s a really interesting topic as I wasn’t aware this was a thing. I absolutely never take into account race (or religion, come to that) and it would never even occur to me to think of it.
  8. But only in the last carriage if gay urban myth is to be believed…
  9. Lucky bugger. Though I’ve taken my share, there…😈
  10. At its best, there is nothing quite like the Heath. But it isn’t always at its best at its busiest. I’ve been there some summer nights when it felt like the entire gay population of the UK was there. But there was then that constant looking over the shoulder to see if someone better was wandering along. But, oh, the memories I have of that place. Especially the infamous fuck tree…
  11. Someone once said “Never say no to adventures. Otherwise, you’ll live a very dull life.” I like that.
  12. But in your determination to catch that train, you may run past someone dancing on the platform you’d like to do the horizontal rumba with. Who knows…?
  13. As someone once said, the best way to give advice is to give it honestly but to be indifferent about whether it is taken or not. You’ve done all you can. Time will tell if his faith in his intended casual sexual partners is misplaced or not.
  14. If someone wishes to tell me my ass looks good in pictures, he could live on Mars for all I care. It costs neither of us anything. And in a world heading to Hell in a handcart, it adds a tiny glimmer of positivity (no pun intended).
  15. I find the Ibis Styles in Piccadilly much better in every sense.
  16. The previous reply said it all, really. But, trust me, it really isn’t hard to find in Manchester. One tip if you use apps is that FabGuys has been particularly fruitful in the past year. I find Grindr a bit and miss in the city centre these days to be honest.
  17. One site I have found bucking the trend lately - in the UK at least - is Fabguys. It’s been very lively all through the pandemic and still is now we’re living with Covid. Of course, there are a lot of guys on there who say they’re “bi” or “curious”, and a greater proportion of married men it seems. But use the Bareback filter and you may be surprised…
  18. I’m not sure a BBRT app would get onto the App Store, although Grindr and Scruff are. But as Andy says, the website site works with no problems on an iPhone - that’s how I use the site mostly.
  19. What a time to be alive 😂. We had to make do with a notebook and the wank banks in our heads.
  20. Love to join you, Andy. Alas, I’m not in London this weekend.
  21. Well, there was this imam in Manchester I used to see…
