No complaints, I'll wait til the bugs get shaken out. I noticed when I checked my own postings that there were all kinds of "replies" from other members & guests that don't belong there, don't have anything to do with my post.

Look at some of the regional posts...it looks like the transfer scrambled them. The topics don't match the headings (at least on posts not recent)

No it's not just them.  Look at the Chicago or Toronto post in General Discussion... The first post is obviously not part of that topic, it starts with the second post.

Are you on Android or iPhone?

 

It's actually the same version. It's a responsive desin - so some design elements disappear as the screen gets smaller.

On the big pic at the top there's a "New Content" link. But as I think about that - it won't be on small screens. Maybe that's why you don't see it. Let me work on that.

On the last design revamp: man, you did a great job. The site looks awesome now. I work as a webmaster and I know how much work that is.

 

I've found something that could be a bug: I've come across some posts where the messages don't match the thread title, at all. Maybe there's some mistake triggering the right thread from the database.

The discussion is about a BB escort, which does not match the title at all. I've found some other examples too.

It looks great. Need to get used to the navigation though, but I'm sure that won't be a problem.

 

One thing I noticed is that I can no longer see the threads I am following (= Content I follow?). Section looks to be empty. In addition I don't get an email alert anymore when one of those threads is updated. Or maybe i don't get any because there is no "content i follow" anymore? Can I reinstate those alerts somewhere?

Oops, already found the notification updates section. Still looking for the threads i am following though. Thanks.

Thanks. It was an unbelievable pain in the ass to make the migration. I took the site from vBulletin 4 (v5 sucks) to IP.Board v3. The first couple times I did a test 5 months ago things got horribly messed up, so I just gave up on it. But then I revisited it a couple weeks ago and discovered I could make it work, but the time it would take was really long. It took me 3+ days just to convert the data when I was testing. Anyway, yesterday was hell, and then I woke up to your message below and realized I had fucked things up…

What happened was I left some of the test data in the database by mistake. So most threads contained the posts for another thread. I was actually relieved when I figured it out. Deleting data is easier than recovering missing data. So an hour or so later I had it all fixed.

My eyeballs are having a problem though .. 

there is a lot of gray .. on a different shade of gray .. on a different shade of gray .. etc .. some of the gray shades are REALLY close making it difficult to read some things ..

GOOD STUFF - can find online users quick (still) under quick navigation .. and the list shows if their friends, or lets ya friend them right from there .. very cool .. all the "guests" show too .. LOTS logged on as guest .. never realized that .. thanks RAWTOP .. fun exploring the new site!  :-)

That's been mentioned above. For now there's a link for "new content" in the big pic at the top. But if you're on a small screen you won't see that. I'll try to put it somewhere else as well so it's easy to get to.

That's what I'm working on at the moment. Figuring out hte inheritance of the CSS is making my head spin a little bit. But I'm aware of it and working on it.

Hi Rawtop, thanks for replying to my earlier post, I can't see it now though so not sure if this is the right place for this, apologies if not. I see what you mean regarding the two sites being the same on both mobile and desktop but with the visibility limited. I'm on Android and unfortunately am missing all the useful information on the right hand side of the screen such as last post info etc, in fact none of the posts in any thread show a date so it is impossible to know when the last post was made. Zooming in and out appears to be disabled. I love the new look but without the dates of posts showing (i.e. When it says '6 hours ago etc.) it is difficult to use the site on Android.
