If it is somewhat quick hookup the bottom should make it known if he doesn't want the top's cum in him and give the top the chance to leave if he doesn't like it. Once the cock is in there is no going back. There may be a case when the top asks the bottom where he wants the load at, and if the bottom says not in me, then the top should pull out as he is the one who initiated the question.
