So last month -- pretty much on Election Day -- I wound up with an anal fissure. That's a tear in the mucosa in the anus. Hurt like a son-of-a-bitch. Thought it was a hemorrhoid. Was surprised when I finally got seen that it was the tear that was infected. I was seen on Monday and had ass-surgery the following Wednesday. Crazy. Out of sexual commission for a month, waiting for it to fully heal.

The specialist I saw said it was probably no one thing that caused it. A combination of stress, rich foods I don't usually eat, not enough lube during sex and age -- I'm in my mid 40s -- all conspired to cause the rip. I've upped my fiber intake and will be using more lube during sex next time. Has anyone else here had the same thing? After it healed up, how was sex again? Any difference? Better? Worse?

Sorry man, wish I could help. (Scratch that! I don't want to be in the same boat and have to experience that!) Most I've gotten is hemorrhoids from a long Fuck session but they naturally have gone away on their own. I am gonna follow this discussion though bc as a bottom you can never know too much.

Not exactly the same, but I had to have a hemorrhoid removed surgically years ago. It was rough going for a few months, but eventually it was back to the same. I think you have the right idea with fiber and lube.

Yes, I have had an anal fissure before. My sphincter spasmed. It was awful. I had to have a sphincterotomy to weaken the muscle so it could heal. Really awful. Message me if you want to chat.

Ha. Yeah. It wasn't...pleasant.

And I thought I just had a hemorrhoid, too.

"Nope, that's a fissure. Months to heal on its own or I --- Surgery? Sure. See you Wednesday."

I'm suddenly realizing things could have been a hell of a lot worse. lol.

Any problems when you first started taking dick again?

Ok, so as an "up and coming" bottom that's mostly topped his whole life, this thread could greatly benefit me as well. I have a few skin tags from hemorrhoids. That's on the outer hole. It's what might be inside that brings me here. What is a sphincterotomy? There are times when I just insert a small plug in and feel intense pain...like a sharp pain. This does not happen when I have a bowel movement. So I got sick of it and felt around inside (think working your fingers to relax and stretch your hole). I was looking for the specific source of this sharp pain.

I found it right inside where your fingers are able to bend so the can feel around in a "curled position." (I'm trying to describe this as detailed as I can)

It's on the bottom side if your standing up and checking things out. Whatever "it" is...isn't very big. In fact you could probably easily pass right by it without a thought...IF it wasn't the source of the piercing/sharp pain.

What is it? Should I just try to find a proctologist? I have insurance. Should I just have the surgery, take the months off (ugh) just so I can get rid of "it" and that pain? So after I heal I can go back to getting to the SEXUAL DESIRES I really want to get into?

Surgery down there always scares me not because of the actual surgery itself. It's the recovery time and things that I might have to do during the healing process that does.

Thanks for any help guys. Either respond on here or message me if you like.

Maybe it's just me but it sounds like you're taking like your hitting your prostate. This can hurt if done too rough but with a finger applying pressure out shouldn't hurt. That's just a normal rectal prostate exam. I'd get it checked if I were you. How long you been in pain?

It's not the prostate. I know where that is and felt around it just to make sure that was ok. It's like the inner lining of the outer hole if that makes sense.

Of and on for awhile. Since it isn't constant, I never thought about it or gone in. But now it's time because that piercing pain needs to stop. Hell even after heavy play sessions with fingers and toys it hasn't hurt...mostly. But it always comes back. Same pain. At first I thought it was normal. However, more so now, I've learned to differentiate between NORMAL pain and this kind of pain.

Ok i know where you're talking about now. Thought you meant higher up. I'd still maybe get it checked out to be safe but if it's off and on it could just be that if you're having rough sex it may be getting bruised sometimes.

I knew a top who's bf always bitched about the same kind of thing and it turned out it was him causing the pain bc sometimes during fucking he'd pull all the way out and shove all the way back in and sometimes he'd just hit a spot wrong and it would bruise the inside. He wouldn't really feel it till the day after though or sometimes a couple hours after. They took varying times to heal.

It could be that simple. A lot of guys, especially bi guys who Fuck both men and women seem to forget that your asshole isn't going to open and become elastic magically or at the second they enter so they're basically bruising or tearing the tissue in there.

But honestly if you have the insurance coverage you might as well get it checked out. Better safe than sorry. Especially if it's fucking up your sex life.

Yeah, that's actually not good with that kind of constant pain.

You can have internal hemorrhoids. They don't exactly have any feeling, but they can lead to bloody stools. You can have exterior ones, on the skin around the anus, and those hurt like an SOB. Skin tags don't hurt, but they can be the result of years of shitting. It's also possible you have a really tight ass and aren't using enough lube.

The thing is, the only way to get to the bottom of it -- ha! -- is to see a GI doc. If you can see a gay GI doc, that's even better. If you have hemorrhoids or a fissure, they can be healed / fixed. If there's another issue, that needs to be looked at, too.

Is it weird that I wouldn't want a gay gi specialist. I mean my primary care Dr is a straight guy who's very open and cool with the whole gay community And I've had prostate and inner hemorrhoid exams from him before and its like it should be, professional. The thought of sex never pops up...so to speak. But I think if I knew he was gay I would be so uncomfortable with his fingers in my ass. I know I'd start thinking about those stupid fucking Porn clips of the Dr exams leading into sex or also be worried he's judging me by my hole. Idk Then again my Dr is cute. Idk. Nevermind. Lol.

Thanks guys...yeah I may as well use my insurance and go get it done...better be safe (at least in this manner ?) then sorry.

ChaserBtm84, you do have a great point about guys not knowing "how to fuck." Even the mostly gay or mostly top ones. Sure we all want to get pounded...used and abused. But there's a difference between knowing what you're doing and pounding vs not knowing and pounding. That's why when I top, I always make sure to communicate with the bottom. If he gives the go ahead, I know to go to town. If I'm hitting the wrong spot, I make an adjustment in my angle.

Yes I talk about wanting my hole wrecked, ripped, torn, etc...by a big cock, double penetration, or fist.

But more so in that I want to be opened up, gaping, have a rosebud, "lips." So I get being sore after a hard fuck. It's like working out other muscles...you're going to be sore in a normal way. However everything I mentioned above about my hole TAKES TIME to get. I have been told by many guys that have those hot "mancunt" lips, gaping, wrecked looking holes with rosebuds.

There is a difference. I certainly don't want a bad fuck to end up knocking me out of action. Despite wanting my "hole wrecked," I want to be able to get fucked!

I get where you are coming from. Then there's the other side where because of him being gay...hopefully he would have a better understanding of anal sex. But yeah if he were hot...and feeling around back there...talking about my sexual experiences...I'd really REALLY have to stay focused...maybe think of female pussy or something nonsexual.

Chaser is it a gi I need to see?
