I had a colonoscopy today and the doctors found an anal papilloma in my rectum , caused by HPV . It was removed during the examination.

I didn't know I had HPV and interestingly it wasn't picked up when I had the anal swap test at my last Prep followup.

My question is, how long should I wait before bottoming again?

If they froze it off it should just be like any open sore until it heals.

FYI you can get freeze-off kits and the wand will reach pretty far up in there if you can locate the wart. It can be done. On the outside, it’s easy.

Do NOT let one wart turn into a thousand, that will require a doctor procedure with a laser and several weeks to heal doing normal activity.

Pretty much any sexually active gay man has HPV, it’s just a matter of how many strains you have. Most people’s bodies control HPV just fine, so even if you get warts or abnormal cells once, they usually don’t come back unless you are immunocompromised.

As for bottoming? I’d wait a week or so and let it heal up well.
