Why the racial preference?

No judgement here, first of all.

I don't understand why there's so many people putting a lot of preference on specific ethnicities.
Actually, no, I do understand the reason why some people would do that, I just don't understand the rationale of it, if that makes sense. I guess it's just because it's not my thing? I'm not sure if I mind it, especially as a Latino who gets frequently fetishized for it, but I would never fuck with someone specifically because they're of a specific race. And I would certainly question your motives if you told me that you're having sex with me because I am Latino (just an example). So allow me to understand:

• If you have a specific racial preference, why do you really prefer to have sex with that race? (assuming it's a different race than yours.) Is it just a general "I just think they're neat" thing? Or maybe a specific desire for something interracial, or maybe some kind of saviour complex, or something else I'm not aware of?
• And how do you feel about being someone's preference? I'm curious as to what Black guys think of people who specifically search for Black guys to fuck with, and same with other POC.

I’m no expert but it seems like a lot of people still see interracial stuff as transgressive and  desirable.  There are still a lot of ingrained racial things still wedged in people’s brains.

I prefer guys of particular races, but not because of their race, but in spite of it. What i prefer is a collection of features that is likely to be included on a guy with that race. For instance, i like smaller frame guys, among other things, and latin or asian guys are likely to match that. Not that i would have that chance where i live, but its a preference none the less.

While this is true, I do find that the tropes and stereotypes that characterize race-based porn were already widely present before widespread porn enforced them - people have been thinking of Black men as aggressive or of Asian men as submissive and emasculated for a long time already. I do agree that especially big production porn (which oh my god I hate so much) has reinforced these ideas. I guess that what I'm asking myself the most is if individual people that have racial preferences have these because they still uphold these tropes or for another, maybe more rational, reason.

Hello "paisano", from what I see you are Latino like me (or at least you are of Latino descent). From what I read in your post, I think you ask about the behavior of men in northern countries (US and Canada) because really very little happens here in the Caribbean (I live in Venezuela), here it is not uncommon to see black men and whites living together, including European, Cuban, Dominican, Peruvian or Ecuadorian migrants. The thing changes if they are Asian, there is no relationship with them.

I also have friends who live in Chile and Argentina, they say that there is a certain discrimination when interacting with black Caribbean migrants.

On the other hand, my friends in the United States tell me that everything depends on the city, I have friends in Texas, Florida and New York, and they have had relationships with any race without problems. What if they tell me is that white or black prefer to have their social relationships separately (not binding, there are many mixed friendships). But from my experience and what my friends tell me, the underlying theme is not ethnic, rather the social groups within bathhouses, saunas, orgies, etc., are limited to other types of things such as Muscle Men, Sissy, Mature, Young, and what is common in our countries, the social division between rich and poor, when I enter a bathhouse you can see the difference between those who have a higher social status and those who do not.

I'm in the same boat.  I'm a chubby white guy,  with a big, round ass, and black guys love me.  And I tend to be attracted more to the brothas these days too, not so much because of race, but because I'm just not that attracted to the types of white guys that are into me lately.
