The State of Louisiana Will Be Blocked From Breeding Zone

Starting January 1 a law (Act 440) is going into effect in Louisiana which could compromise this site. It requires age verification on all adult content. While people in the adult industry feel it's impossible for most sites to comply with the letter of the law, it is at least possible to take steps to try to block all users from Louisiana and thus show that there is no intent to violate the law.

To block the state of Louisiana I'll be relying on a database that tells me the location of your IP address. The database is imperfect (which is why complying with the letter of the law is impossible). And because it's imperfect if you're near Louisiana and your Internet provider assigns you an IP that's mapped to Louisiana, then you will be blocked as well.

The use of VPNs also makes it impossible to comply with the letter of the law since VPNs obscure where you're coming from. That said, be very careful about VPNs. The general rule on the Internet is that if something is free - then you're the product. This is absolutely true with VPNs. Free VPNs track what you do and then sell the data. You want to pay for your VPN (they're not terribly expensive) and you want one with a strict no logs policy (diagnostic logs are probably OK, but there should be zero traffic logs collected).

Oh, and I should mention there's already a block on the state of Utah. They've had a similar law on the books since 2017. I'll be making sure that block is still set up properly when I set up the block for Louisiana.

I'll put the block in place after Christmas. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Thanks for the posting, Admin. It is sad to see laws to restrict this, but beyond our control. I use a paid for VPN which is based in Switzerland, as they have the most powerful personal privacy rights laws in the world. The application on my phone and home computer also reduces spam. I trust them, don't trust others. If anyone is looking, I can advise where I get my VPN services.

i have great sympathy for you and other platform folks, who have to deal with this new wave of absurd laws. these are doubtless being challenged in court, but i fear the supreme court in its current makeup would say the law was constitutional.

Just a suggestion guys- drop BiPozLoader a message directly, versus a bunch of guys posting "Me Too's" on here. First off, he could miss a lot of your posts ( which a message to him would prevent) And while replies to posts are often hot and good reading, not so much for just a string of asks. Also, you are asking the man to help you, so an ask in a private message and a follow up thank you would pass the Miss Manors ( as in Wilton Manors) sniff test.

And it get worse… A Senator from Utah is introducing legislation that would criminalize 99% of porn as well as this site. And there's a decent chance it could pass.

Thank you @AlwaysOpen. I have a policy not to promote other service providers in a forum. Ethically I would prefer a message from anyone interested. Understand that my endorsement is one opinion. Frankly, having studied before choosing, I think my provider is superior. I forgot to mention that they do provide a FREE account with limited additional services. I highly recommend that everyone get on a good VPN service. If well designed and if they keep up with technology, you'll be much safer and virtually free from hacking and data breach. I find it to be great.

One would hope that this is or will soon be challenged in court.  It's obviously over-reaching.  Of course I never thought a horrible piece of legislation like FOSTA (which shut down things like Craigslist personals) would be passed let alone that it wouldn't have been repealed or overturned by now.  But unfortunately many of these censorship bills get wide bi-partisan support (FOSTA passed in the House by 388-25 and in the Senate by 97-2) so you can't just look at the letter after a politician's name.  Too many of them are against rights in general.

Sadly I see this potentially happening in Florida.  They have already been targeting drag shows! If a parent chooses to bring a younger child, that's THEIR choice!
