I am confused by the fact that sex and sexual desire is or can be very complicated for some. I thought it was easy. You either wanna fuck or not. The complicated part is accepting the risks that come with fucking raw - not whether I wanna fuck or not.

So what am I missing? The poll questions are designed to help me explore what horny means to you.

This was honestly difficult for me to answer for a lot of reasons. I've never taken the time to consider whether my urge to be fucked is driven by a reproductive instinct. For me, it's always boiled down to pleasure and the desire I have to have anal sex. The thought that it's connected to a natural, evolutionary instinct to reproduce is fascinating but also confusing.

Thanks for the sincere reply. It was not necessarily designed to be an "easy" question to answer.

For additional context, I identify as a bottom. My general comments on BZ illustrate my fundamental desire is to fuck or specifically to get fucked for the purpose of helping my horny brother achieve an incredible and satisfying release - I thought that was just natural. Is it incorrect for me to assume that breeders are the MAJORITY of the overall percentage of men? To me, sex is a holistic connection between me and another guy. i think we can connect with people intellectually, emotionally and physically, and for me the ultimate sex is when all three of those are in play, the chemistry is right, and we connect in all three of those places mutually.  A step further is when all of those elements get exercised and experienced with one particular guy over and over and the connection becomes a bond. i've come to see that as the 'real' bond of "bondage."

It was not a fast survey - needing me to contemplate each.  And even then radio button answers don't give us much.  They are, by nature, devoid of nuance.  

#1, Is it primarily driven by non-reproductive factors (e.g. emotional connection, various forms of attraction, etc)?

#2, Claim to have sexual arousal and desire, but it is more complicated and requires many variables to come together properly for. them to get "turned on" enough to perform sexual acts.   But even then it really is sort of situational.  I've been in situations where I wasn't even thinking along sexual lines; but was in the right place and we went at it.  But this third option at least came closer to how it works for me.

#3 I think "most" men are going to still have a broad range of answers describing our natural instincts around sexual arousal.  I know for me, it's really physical attraction and paying attention to whether they're attracted back.  I suppose I can just be bold and ask "hey ya wanna fuck", but that's not generally what I do...  For a lot of reasons needing to maintain day to day decorum.

Skipping to the last question, I think the answer is usually non-reproductive considerations, depending on the guy.  Most younger, unmarried guys absolutely do NOT want to get a female pregnant.  People fuck because they find someone physically attractive.  There is certainly an emotional/romantic component for some but I suspect if you went to the local cruising spot or sex club, that isn't their primary objective.  Obviously, sometimes straights are trying to conceive but that's ideally a planned thing.

It is definitely instinctual for me, I'm not sure how much of it has to do with reproduction since my instinctual drive seems to be to fuck either a man or woman, as well as get fucked by another man.
