    If you want to do some good for the bareback community, please sign the petition against Michael Weinstein that's been started by the 2014 Mr LA Leather on Change.org… https://www.change.org/petitions/ahf-remove-weinstein If you don't know much of anything about Weinstein - he's the guy who managed to get bareback porn made illegal in LA County. He's the guy who's gone after bareback porn producers like TIM and SD Boy. Basically he believes condoms should be mandatory. And allegedly he thinks so little of guys who become poz that he's taken money from programs that are supposed to care for people with AIDS and used the money instead for legal battles against the bareback porn industry. Now he's gone a step too far and called Truvada/PrEP "a party drug". This is the last in a long history of him being against PrEP. It's one thing to go after bareback porn, but another to go against PrEP - which has proven itself in clinical trials and the first good news in HIV prevention in nearly 20 years. It's just irresponsible. He needs to go. Assuming you're out, please get others to sign the petition as well - by posting on Facebook, etc.

    Sorry if I've been absent from the site lately. I'm on day 7 of a nasty head and chest cold that I wish would just go away. Anyway, I asked my host a few days ago if Heartbleed was an issue for my server and was told that, no, it was never problem. They manage over 3,000 servers and only 15 of them had the issue - in part because they're a bit manic about building servers a very particular way.

    Those words are blocked because they were used by a number of creepy psycho members. That group isn't really one I want to encourage here. There are variations on the terms that aren't blocked. Use those. (But if they're abused, they'll be blocked too).

    Eh. Think nothing of it. No answer just means they're not really looking right then, or they're looking for something different. Actually no answer is better than no thanks - with no answer it means you may still be in the running... In other words, you may not be exactly what they're looking for, but give it an hour and they may give up on what they're looking for and have sex with you (e.g. they don't want to completely close off things with you by saying 'no'). Now, if you had said you look nothing like what they describe as the person they're looking for, and they said nothing, that would be one thing. But if they're guys you've hooked up with before, then just be patient. Some days they're looking for one thing, other days they may be looking for you.

    Actually, Michael Lucas has never been all that much of a hypocrite on the subject. I researched it when I did my first blog post on him. He advocated condoms back in the day because he didn't like to see discrimination against poz guys - he thought being poz shouldn't be an issue - and safe sex was the way to make it a non-issue. As pro-condom arguments go, that's one I respect. He even dated a few poz guys - so it was real for him. He also stated once that he thought all the bareback porn with teens was irresponsible. But there are plenty of guys on here that say the same exact thing - that teens don't really understand the risks they're taking. I don't agree with that - I think they're adults, and the problem isn't the bareback porn but their parents and teachers not preparing them for adulthood properly. But the point is, he didn't say anything that people here don't say.

    Sorry for being so late to this discussion (I've been playing hookie from my moderation duties). But a couple of thoughts… Cut EVERYONE out of your life who won't support you and love you. They should be nothing more to you than casual acquaintances who you smile at and then ignore when you don't absolutely have to interact with them. You mentioned your father is trying to bring you into his real estate business. If he doesn't love you and support you as a poz gay man, then that is not a good environment for you. I've gone through this with big parts of my family. It's not easy, but trust me, trying to get people to change is a complete waste of time. Just move on and do what's best for you. You then need to actively work to rebuild your life. It won't be easy, but when you get to the end you'll be one of those people who say "becoming poz was the best thing that ever happened to me". Why? Because it forced you to take control of your life and live a life that's worth living. You can do it, and you'll be better for having done it. But it won't be easy. In the meantime get professional counseling from a gay friendly therapist.

I believe they are (or will) have invisible watermarks that can be used to track the source of piracy.
