I totally agree and that was one of my primary objectives when I set up rawTOP.tv - you can join for free and buy/download (DTO) DVDs for $14.95 (or less if you also have a monthly streaming membership plan). I really wanted it to be scene based, but the VOD company that runs the site for me is old school and thinks in terms of DVDs, not scenes. Absolutely not. You only need a powerful computer if you're trying to mine coins. For transactions, services such as Coinbase are pretty much identical to Paypal in terms of general functionality. The only major difference is that you can't link your Coinbase account to a credit card - only a bank account. And that won't change. Bitcoin transactions can't be charged back. So Coinbase (and others) can't have you buying bitcoins with a credit card and then charging back the credit card transaction - because they can't reverse the bitcoin transaction. -
Both of you have a rather fundamental misconception - neg guys cannot be meds resistant. It's the HIV, not the person, that's meds resistant. If you don't have HIV, there's no way to be meds resistant. Doctors are used to the relationship poz guys have with ARVs. A neg guy's relationship is very different. We're not controlling a virus. We just need a certain level of it in our system when we get exposed to HIV. The reason why you have to take Truvada for 5 days before you're completely covered is because Truvada has a very long half-life. What that means is that you do not have to take it at the same every day - it takes something like 2 weeks for Truvada to leave your system once you stop taking it. You're filling a bathtub with a slow leak at the bottom and you only need it to be 1/2 full. Relax. You're not poz. Now, if you just went to a sex party and got 10 loads from random, anonymous guys. Yeah, you should be diligent about taking it every day leading up to and for a few weeks after the party. But if you're just having sex here and there and you know most of your fuck buds and they're generally poz and on meds - relax.

Just wondering how much interest there would be in having a downloads section here on Breeding Zone where people could buy scenes for $1 to $5/each? I could offer both professional porn scenes and amateur. The amateur means you guys could become your own porn producers. You set your price and get a cut of the revenue. The one big caveat is that if the store is on this site Visa and Mastercard won't touch it - the payments would have to be in Bitcoin. Even if I set up a separate "clean" site, the upfront cost and overhead of using Visa/Mastercard may be cost prohibitive (I can't use PayPal - they don't process for porn). Anyway, let me know what you think of the idea. If I implemented something it would be a ways down the road...

I'm migrating this site from vBulletin to IP.Board. (That will mean something to those of you who are geeks). I've got a lot of testing and tweeking to do, but one of the questions is what social bookmarking/sharing options do you want? The poll questions are what IPB has as default options (plus I added Tumblr), but I think some of those are rather obsolete. So please vote on the poll and let me know which of them you'd use with a site like this. Thanks.

I was reading an article that IRMA (the rectal microbicide folks) linked to on their Facebook page. It was an interesting article about the different PrEP adherence rates for different populations and regions. One of the things they said was: So 4 pills a week is 90-96% effective (theoretically). That's identical to condom use which reduces your risks 10-20 fold. Now, I realize the theoretical nature of that research, but I'm only doing it when I'm really not having much sex (sex every few weeks). If my risk goes up, I'll "use more protection".

You're missing the point - I take 4 pills/week during times of low risk. The low risk + the 90% PrEP efficacy is "safe enough". We all make risk calculations in daily life (e.g. is it safe to cross the street against the light?). Sex is no different. IMHO, you're being completely paranoid. It's fine if you wanna live your life that way, but I don't want to.

Lately I've been thinking I sorta miss the trill of the risk that I used to get when I fucked raw. Not that I'm some huge risk junkie, but a little bit of risk is fun. I'm not having a lot of sex lately so I've tapered back to 4 pills a week (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun). That's still considered to be something like 90% effective. When and if I go to some big sex party I'll go back to daily pills. I know it may not sound logical, but I like the protection PrEP gives me and simultaneously miss the risk. Anyone else feeling the same way?

Anyone here ever been in prison or talked to someone who has been in prison about the sex in there? I know two pretty prominent porn stars who are in jail right now (Mike Dozer and another one I'm not allowed to mention). Just wondering what it's like for them. I mean both guys are vers bottoms. Mike is in for statutory rape - and guys in on those charges tend to get raped themselves. I gotta agree with this. I really envy the guys who are young today. When I came out and started having sex it was the height of the AIDS crisis and it just reinforced my generally conservative tendencies (I grew up in a fundamentalists household). If I had it to do all over again, without HIV being such a killer, I'd totally be a bareback pig - giving and taking loads. Now, with the advent of PrEP guys really can have a great time sexually. I do the best with what I've got, but it would be a blast to be young and hot today.

It's slightly more risky than being a safe sex bottom. Being a bareback top is 7 times safer than being a bottom. Being a safe sex bottom is about 10 to 20 times safer. IMHO, being a bareback top is within the realm of "safer sex". Oh, and if the bottom is "undetectable" it's completely safe. Safer than fucking a guy who thinks he's neg. -
