I was just out in the Pines this past weekend. My best friend bought a place on the ocean last fall - so I should be out there on an off throughout the summer. Yes, it's absurdly expensive. I think people say to leave it in for at least a month before removing it. I waited longer than that and couldn't get it back in when I removed it. It felt like I was doing the piercing all over again and fucking it up in the process. Bottom line - don't remove it until you feel like it's completely healed.
